Dear Cheryl, I am terribly sorry for responding so late to your call. I know I could say 'better late than never' as most people do, yet for all the good reasons I may have had for such an apparent negligence, it might sound a cynic statement after so long.
And yet, this is such a fascinating query. I had thought at first to just mention I am a Virgo and so a fanatic of order and a perfectionist, but I guess this is not enough. On the other hand, 'Know Thyself' is for sure the most important admonition we may formulate ourselves, so I will try to ask the questions without any further delay.
For me, a ‘fun’ day and a ‘work’ day are one and the same thing. I love doing what I do, even if it does not give me any money at present (but I do expect to make some money soon). And apart from my long daily walks with my dogs, which do me well both mentally and physically, I spend my days, even on Saturdays and Sundays, mostly writing my articles and little else.
Other than that, I jump from bed very early in the morning, usually at 4 am, and after rapidly checking my emails, I start writing on my PC until 6 o clock. Then I and my dogs leave the house for our morning walk, typically along the seafront, which ends at about 8 am when I get back home with them for breakfast and a shower. The rest of the day I spend as well at my PC, with one or two of my dogs, sometimes the three of them, on the floor around me, and with only short interruptions to have lunch, take a short nap after lunch and, after we have come back home again from our afternoon walks, eat some fruit before watching a little TV and finally going to bed for the night. That is all, day after day, except for one thing that I will explain to you now.
I cannot deny that this daily routine, however relaxing my daily long walks may be, causes me a little stress, especially from my economic difficulties at present. So I also spend a little time meditating, both in the mornings and the evenings, with the help of certain Hindu meditation techniques which I learned long ago; and in the daylight hours, even while walking, I practice so-ham, another simple yet most profound and complete meditation technique that can be performed at all hours, even while talking or eating (some say even while sleeping) and which I sincerely recommend everyone to follow; you may go here for complete information about it. I am sure you will find it most helpful not only to calm your mind and enjoy real good health but also to really 'Know Thyself'.
Best Wishes,
