Re: Strange Money #5: Network Marketing Q/A

Thanks Jack, I wasn't sure there for a minute. Thought I had missed something somewhere along the way. And the way things change today sometimes you have to shake your head a little just to straighten things out. ----------------------------------------------- Everyone! Here's a question I've been pondering on. A lot of succssful Network Marketers push the sponsoring aspect of the business way above the retail. Why do their businesses grow so large and survive? or Do they survive???

Winston, You do tend to ask enlightening questions. Repeat: ================================================================================ Here's a question I've been pondering on. A lot of succssful Network Marketers push the sponsoring aspect of the business way above the retail. Why do their businesses grow so large and survive? or Do they survive??? ================================================================================ Indeed most of them do push the sponsoring because the "big pins" know that it is a "numbers game." However, if retail does not match explosive numbers growth then the whole thing tends to collapse just as quickly. Remember when I said before... 3/5 x 5/8 x 0 = 0? Well, that applies here very much. Did I say explosive? I'm gonna get that flak jacket and kevlar helmet again - soon. Before I do, just so there is fair warning (coz this "grenade" will be controversial)... "INCOMING!" I'm going out for a while now to get some sun and have some fun. But when I come back... Gary Simpson

Hi forumites, I'm probably gonna stir a few people up by saying this but I have my reasons ... INBOUND! ========================================= Grenade #2 - "MLM's can and DO destroy relationships and often it is a marriage that suffers." ========================================= Anybody care to discuss this? Agree? Disagree? Gary Simpson

Isn't that also the case with people who start traditional businesses as well?

Hi: ========================================= "MLM's can and DO destroy relationships and often it is a marriage that suffers." ========================================= Heh.... I'll bite. No, I don't agree. Here's why. - guns don't kill, people do. - money doesn't get corrupt, people do. - software doesn't create bad websites, people do AND - "Things" don't destroy relationships, people do. There's tons and tons of books like "Women are from Mars and Men are from Venus" that talk about the scientific and proven differences in the male brain and the female brain. Those differences often lead to communication problems. (duh - like that's not stating the obvious. lol) Communication problems lead to relationship problems. It's easy to blame the "thing" that a couple is arguing over. But, there's lots of couples *not* arguing about them, too. So maybe it's not the "thing" but the communication (or the type of communication) that is the problem. Just my two cents. You asked. : ) Linda P.S. Plus - Al's wife wasn't moaning too much when he was showering her in diamonds and having dinner with the Reagans. Or, if she was, that's WAY TMI. lol. Sorry... BAD sense of humor. I think the arguments maybe happen most when it's not making the kind of $$ that one or the other person expected. Sometimes the partner gets tired of waiting to see results while the other wants to give it more time. Guessing, of course, but I don't see the ones who are rolling in $$ arguing about MLM.
