Jack, Canada may be different, but in the U.S., you have to be a registered investment advisor to peddle investments -- my brother is a CPA and I've got a Masters in Business, and we're both thinking about testing out and doing that at some point in the future. When I scanned your bio and web site I saw you cite and affiliate realtionship, but I didn't notice your NASDAQ program registratiopn (60 or 67 i think) cited anywhere -- maybe I just misssed it? No insult intended, you either have it or you don't though. Or, maybe you're a certified financial planner -- there is a provission for certain CFP certifications to automatically entitle you to the proper investment advisor registration.

Hi Greer, I just tried to make a post to your comments but it got lost in the ether somewhere so -if it appears twice then that will be why. ========================== I'd like to suggest that everyone on this thread that has bashed paid autosurfs cite what autosurf experiencfes you actually had to back up your assertions. ========================== I'm happy to go first. I have zero experience with these schemes. And that is the way that I intend for it to remain. Not wanting to upset you but I don't need to jump into a polar bear enclosure just to experience what it may do to me either. We must all be guided by our own personal needs and desires. Some people like these schemes. Others, like me, don't. This is a discussion of "for" and "against." People can make their own minds up. They will anyway based on whether they think the scheme is a good fit for them. Simple as that. Just for the record I am not a financial planner either. Gary Simpson

Thanks for responding Gary, at least if a poster fully qualifies their input, like you just did, it gives the reader a better opportunity to place the reamarks in context. I probably need to further qualify my own remak there that you cited as well, because when I say that, I'm referring not just to this thread but to forums in general. On many various forums, I hear all manner of pro as well as cons being emotionally spouted wioth no objective information or qualifying reamks at all -- and I'm referriong both to scam screamers as well as some admins. Additionally, while I am currently engaged, after about six months, I'll make up my own mind, based on actual experience. When you undertake an experiment with risky programs like this, you need to plan on about a 50% failure rate. You simply have to factor that into your overall analysis. I don't mind "against" remarks at all, as long as they are maturely articulated with a rational basis and statement of experience, so that we get a fairly clear picture of how to weight the post or remark. This kined of thing is NOT for risk averse personalities, I'll say that for sure. I personally am very competitive and like to succeed in a risk-laiden enviornment. Greer

Hi Greer, I'm always happy to qualify any statement that I make. I think when you said this... ===================== "Thanks for responding Gary, at least if a poster fully qualifies their input, like you just did, it gives the reader a better opportunity to place the reamarks in context." ====================== ... you made a very pertinent point. I agree entirely. The more information here the better - then people can certainly weigh up the for and against cases. Gary Simpson

Greer, Canada is different than the US but in many ways we are alike. You said.. "you have to be a registered investment advisor to peddle investments I am not a registered investment advisor, or Certified Financial Planner and you don't need to be for researching a publicly traded company. I do research and state my opinion. I don't see what I do as peddling investments, nor does my lawyer. In any case I am very comfortable in what I do, it is honest, not deceiving, I don't make money from other people's stock trading. You said.. "When I scanned your bio and web site I saw you cite and affiliate realtionship, but I didn't notice your NASDAQ program registratiopn (60 or 67 i think) cited anywhere -- maybe I just misssed it?" I have no idea what you mean here. Perhaps you can elaborate. You said.. "No insult intended," I'm not that insecure. I'm getting to know you better so that's a good thing. :-) Good Luck in your Auto-Surf excercise and if you do make a profit I hope the ones in your downline didn't mind paying you for your efforts. Myself, I will not join these types of programs and I will not hesitate to tell fellow AdLanders the downside. In my experience one does not need to spend excessive time to evaluate a system that is clearly flawed. That is, clearly to me but maybe not to you or some others.
