Hello Friends,
Happy Easter.
I miss the observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday statutory holidays back in New Zealand and the Common- wealth countries e.g. Great Britain, Canada, Australia, NZ.. because our respective countries count Friday as the day the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified, Saturday the 1st day of his death, Sunday the 2nd day and Monday the day He rose again...according to the scriptures.
I remember when I sat listening to a teaching - when Jesus shrouds were discovered and why the way they were laid opened the eyes of Simon Peter that Jesus had risen up and out from the shrouds that he was rolled up in John 20 V 8
I personally feel that Easter observance is more important to me because without Jesus being crucified upon a pagan cross (the OT laws, says cursed be anyone who hangs on a tree), dying and taking our sins upon Himself we would not have salvation. I have come out from under the laws of the OT and into GRACE.
I wish you all a great weekend, and hopefully spring has actually arrived for most of you - it has been kinda spasmodic here with cold days then warmer days, no blossom yet on our trees or spring flowers - sigh.
