Hello Amanda,

It's really nice to co-operate with you.

We get so much done by working together. That's why Sheila and I are working on our forum.

Keep your popems coming, we enjoy your work.

Roger

JUST PRAISING THE LORD

Jesus, you pick me up when I am down
replace my face with a smile when it has a frown
You encourage and believe in me, when I have none
and wait and watch me until I am done

You love me unconditionally even though I have conditions
You show me how to love others and see past their faults
Tell me to love the sinner and not focus on the sin
You will deal in this area, it is not mine to win

You tell me that honey will catch bees better than vinegar
kind thoughts should be in my heart to be a winner
That patience comes to those who will wait
Another fine message, if I want to get past the gate

Well Jesus, I am glad that you say I am not done
I would be discouraged for the things unwon
I would look over all my faults and failings
it is by grace that I live with you daily

The love I feel for You comes quite free
I am glad that this is something I can do on my own
and the little bit of faith that each one of us has
only has to be as big as a mustard seed

Thank you Jesus, that you are here with me
that You love me so much unconditionally
remind me to keep my eyes on You and not on me
there are others who need prayers and encouragement

Lord I have hope and lots of it, it would seem
I have stayed with you, when it has been hard going
my hope is for the future that soon I will be
with you at home in my place for eternity

Modern Way of Life

This old world's in trouble
this old world's gone bad
this old world's America
which makes me so sad

Like rats on a treadmill
working hard all day
mother and father both working
for a meager wage on pay day

Mother's hardly stay at home to rear their children
leave them all day to be brought up at Day Care Centers
then wonder why their children do not listen to them at home
parents have given up on them because they are busy on the phone

The people are blind it seems
focused on their dreams
they don't plan for the future
but living from their need

There is corruption a plenty
happening all around
yet they do not see it
it's like they are buried underground

Students have been so dumbed down
they can hardly spell, add or read
wanting to be adults with decisions
bucking their parents and authorities systems

Partying, chatting, texting aimlessly on their cellphones
being so kewl while in their drugged out state
fashion so appalling, rips and tears, butt-cracks showing
belly-buttons pierced and skirts up to their waists

Modesty, morals, ethics and values are not being taught
prayer in schools and public buildings are out the door
the Government are being exposed for
corruption, scandals, deceptions and extortions

The media turns a blind eye so nothing is aired
could it be, they are scared?
are they told to rake up mud on the people that are disliked?
by the Powers that Be because it's their right?

Bad news always hits the papers and TV
no need for factual proof, unless they are sued
and no one has the means to right this wrong
so the population accepts it as the gospel truth

America is Bankrupt yet we live like there is no tomorrow
Every man, woman and child has a debt of 1 1/2 million dollars
This country has been sold out to outsourcing overseas
Mexican aliens are given our health, assistance and our dollars

Wake up America before it's too late
it does not have to be our fate
Listen, get your eyes off the ground
warning signs are all around

Hi Amanda,

Sorry for not posting for a while but I read all your poems and I feel the emotions and your heart in all of them.

I appreciated your dismay when Koda disappeared on you. We sure get attached to our pets and I don't know about you but they become part of the family. We've all gone through events like that and are happy when there is a happy ending.

Keep on supplying us with your poetry.

Shalom,

Peter

Hello Peter,

Thank for revisiting, yes I am writing from my heart and
emotions, from past, present and future events and things
I see.
I have also started to put my poetry on blogger
http://birddogsprofits.blogspot.com/ which can be
attached to Facebook as well

Yes, Koda was a very disobedient boy and I had no idea
where he was trying to search for him in the dark.  James
told me when he came in for his weekend that I have to
put him on a leash and go with him to potty from now on.
Koda has selective hearing when he wants to, whereby
Minnie Mae is so obedient when you call her.

Koda is presently with James on the Bigrig as he went
to New York this trip and wanted a bigger dog on board to
scare off any undesirables that may be lurking around.
They do not know that Koda is a gentle dog, his size will
give strangers second thoughts - whereby Minnie Mae who
is small is the wannabe Rottweiller and very loyal and not
easily won over.  We usually pick her up in our arms when
people are around.
She usually goes with James as she fits in the Bigrig easier
