I loved reading the history Thomas has put together. The buildings look wonderful in the photos. I hope the streets are as good as they look.

Luka, you certainly have a solid foundation of life experiences to fit you for the future. As Thomas said, you have a good heart and it shows. That heart will take you forward. (You also have a gem as a mother).

Bonjour Sarah!

Now I feel sorry for haven`t learned even a basic Franch :( ... but when read it, I can understand enough ( due it`s cognation to Latin and Spanish, which I learn at the school).

Belgrade`s streets ... hm .... It`s too big crowd here a day and night, and people, who always leaved here, usually cry for Belgrade`s spirit, lost during the 90`s last century. My mother used to often visit this town, when was very young, just to criss-cross all the book shops and an old Bohemian quarter ... which still is incredible, and she remembers that spirit and also thinks it was so unique. I don`t believe it may be lost. Just it may be, for the moment gave up .... but will rise up, I am sure.

Luka is a wise young man and reading his bio I for one more time saw that he is a very strong man too.  Strong as a child so he will be strong growing up.

Brilliant choice.

Luka is just one of the latest generations to be born at a crossing point  in East/West cultures. Belgrade must be one of the worlds most fought over cities. The people have been subjected to all the extremes that man can imagine.

As a soft, spoilt and overindulged Englishman I just want to pick this guy and his mother up and transport them somewhere else, just for a while, just long enough for them to know that they are loved and can have the safety that so many in the world enjoy.

I am sure that these are stronger people for their experiences, however, I know from what they both say that these events have had an effect upon them beyond what we should expect.

May God support and protect this young man. He has much to offer and if I was in a different position I would make sure that the best things were available to him.

Luka is a normal fun loving young man who deserves the best. I wish him the very best of fortune and am sure that he will make a great future for himself.
