Hey there Luka,

Just stopping by for a minute and glad to see this forum is
still going strong and you are having a great time.

I am just looking out my window watching a flock of birds
swooping in perfect formation, then fly up again and flying
to the left then to the right and not one bird was out of
sequence with the others.  They were too far away to take
a photo of, but just so wonderful to watch.  I just had to
share.  After all Spring has arrived here in Nebraska and we
put our clocks forward today.

Dear Amanda, thanks for sharing so inspiring pictures, caught up from your window.Spring comes earlier to Nebraska, than to my part of the world. We are still running on the winter time ... and still have rather cold weather. Birds are not coming yet.

BUT - WE ARE EXPECTING ALL THE SINGS OF THE SPRING TO APPEAR.With an eagerness, of course.

My Sunday have still a few hours more ... I must make all the things ready for tomorrow morning.

AH MONDAY!

It is coming too fast - if anyone asks me what I think about.

With warm smilies to all the birds over the Nebraska sky, to you and your hubby ,

Luka,

This is our 3rd winter here in Nebraska that has just gone
by (even though we have only been here 2 years)  This
winter was definitely colder yet less snow than the other 2 prior winters, with only about 4 falls of snow then warming
up and melting.  On December 15 the temperature was in
the 60oF the next day he temperature dropped way below zero when James and I were taking a weekend away.  We
we returned the inside was 20o as we left our thermowave heater (does not get hot or catch fire should something drop on or near it - and uses the same amount of electricity as
the coffee pot all day) The poor heater could not keep up!  Our other source of heat is the wood burning free standing fireplace, propane is too expensive to run our old furnace.

This sudden drop in temperature completely froze up our  water pipes because they were not being used and when
they thawed out burst.  The insulation on them under the
house was not enough so we had to do learn quickly to
do repairs.

My children are coming to visit with me a few days tomorrow
until Thursday.  I have been running around like a 'headless
chicken' in readiness as we have not had visitors so had to
put beds up etc that was in storage here.  I am excited
because I have not seen my son Daryl in 8 and half years,
he was a teenager when I left NZ and he is 25 now!  I have seen my daughter Kerie as she has been coming out to the States to work each year and this is Daryl's first trip.
They are flying in from Colorado (the next State over) and
they work at Vail.
