Dear Friend Jean Marie,

Thank you so much for your Presence and your great Contribution... you shared so much great ideas and reflections on the topic...

I especially want to emphasize on...
"If one wants to truly make a difference, wants to do something better with the life they've been given, then one must respect themselves and those they interact with."
I just can't agree more with this fundamental statement! Respect must be the foundation and it starts nowhere else than with myself...

With Friendship,
Blessings,
Alain

Lao Tzu

Popular legends say that he was conceived when his mother gazed upon a falling star, stayed in the womb for sixty-two years, and was born when his mother leaned against a plum tree. He accordingly emerged a grown man with a full grey beard and long earlobes, which are a symbol of wisdom and long life.[7][8] In other versions he was reborn in some thirteen incarnations since the days of Fuxi; in his last incarnation as Laozi he lived to nine hundred and ninety years, and traveled to India to reveal the Dao

Greetings Alain sorry i couldn't come in sooner but i saved this thread though amongst 100s of emails i get daily, there is a reason for the word respect , its called Kindness one of 7 virtues my rabbi Jesus teaches the one with the ultimate respect to us and to his father. I would think respect would make a difference if you had the right knowledge and the right tools to learn what it means, Nick said it right but he forgot to mention theres more than just greed in this world and thats the having the kindness one should all have out of respect to others. :) God_bless you my friend. Nice poem. Bizzy Thomas

Hello Alain,

A good topic you have chosen and some very good posts
added to this discussion.

I also believe respect is often given to the person on first
meeting, however it is a value that you need to keep, as
it is earned from your actions.
Because if your negative actions are regularly reoccurring
you are going to loose respect very quickly, which is very
hard to get back again.

Dear Alain,
Greetings!
This is a great topic and thanks for bringing it to us.

Yes, I believe that Respect is important when it comes to making a difference.  Respect comes in different believes and forms.  End point for me, if you Respect a person you tend to develop trust and they fall hand in hand with each other.

When you respect the person's belief and views, you tend to accept their point of views and why they do such things.

It plays such an important rule in everyday life because if you respect yourself, some of us would be doing things differently nowadays.

Thanks for sharing buddy!

Love,
Rinna
