Sunny Greetings from California to the POTW Team!

Thank you, Ana-Maria, Jim, and Peter, for this special polling thread. Your hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated by many good members in this community. The three of you had run an open and honest polling thread so that all members could nominate and vote for an outstanding and exemplary member to be 2008 Person of The Year.

As the results shown at midnight Eastern time on January 12, 2009, Peter Fogel was voted as The Winner of 2008 Person of The Year Award. Many discerning members in this community have affirmed that Peter Fogel is a man who is truthful, honest, hard working and dedicated to this community. 

I would like to echo the sentiment of many members in this community.
I am appalled at the ugliness, hypocrisy and fake piety that have been exhibited by some on this polling thread as well as other forums for the purpose of assassinating the reputations of Ana-Maria, Jim, and Peter.

I am sad and disappointed to see Ana-Maria, Jim, and Peter decided to resign from managing the Person of The Week forum because of some mean-spirited people in this community.

Dear Peter, Jim and the special "tree hugging" Ana Maria:


Understanding how any awards forum/site works is not easy and each and everyone of you deserves to take a bow for the hard work and the dedication that you show every month and every year.  It requires a level of professionalism that can withstand any scrutiny.

My congratulations goes to Peter for winning this award, I hope that it brings you as a person as well as  your business the attention you richly deserve to further bring you more success.

When it stops being fun, stop doing it.

I thought of a way to choose a POTY in the future without an election...

Just count the nominations that are posted when it's time to nominate, and those nomination posts must be made by people who have actually POSTED after voting in past POTW elections throughout the year.  I guess lists will need to be made every week of the people who posted after voting for POTW each week.

Therefore, there won't be any NEW people suddenly at POTY election time who just created accounts and popped up to vote only for the POTY in January next year.

The THE person with the most number of nominations (made by people who have actually taken part in the weekly POTW elections) will be POTY. 

I Nominate Kathy V for Admin of POTW. Great Idea Kathy. Not only a great idea but a pretty smart one. Until this happens, i will not partisipate in any forum votings like this ever again. Bizzy Thomas. P.s. My opinion and im sticking to it LOL. God_bless you members. Enjoy your 2009.
