Hello Jim

   Do you always have to start your posts with something insulting? I am not beating a dead horse. I am talking about something that is very much a part of our future. Presidents have more power now than ever before and I am concerned about the potential for abuse.

    Aren't you being a bit presumptive when you state ,

"We all agree that we disagreed with Bush's policies and campaigns of fear from unseen enemies".

    I haven't seen anywhere where we all agree on anything. There are stillo those who think Bush did a fine job. In fact, about 30% of the population thinks that.

   How are you able to predict the future and feel so confident that you are absolutely correct? Obama is surrounding himself with some economic advisors from the Clinton era but also with many others who are experts in the field. The Clinton era just happened to be one of the most prosperous times in our history so I'm thinking that maybe a few of those Clinton people might know a little more than you about our economic future.

   I resent your assumption that I have not taken the time to educate and inform myself about Obama's past life. You really shouldn't just assume that you are more informed than I am and that your assessment of this man is the only real truth. The majority of our citizens dissagree with you. I have to assume that at least some  of us are as well informed and as intelligent as you are. Maybe I am not as good as you at predicting the future but I consider myself to be at least on equal terms when assessing the past.

    Why are you so convinced that I don't see the potential for Obama to be like Bush. That was exactly my point when I started beating this dead horse again Jim.

    I suppose I will just stop posting on this forum. It appears that it is turning into a debate with Jim more than a discussion about any of the issues that I hoped to present. I was actually hoping for a few shared thoughts about the impact that Bush Signing statements might have on this countries future under a new president. I didn't come here to debate over what is or is not a dead horse. Jim, don't feel so obligated to respond to my every post. I would really rather just have a discussion than have to spend my time addressing your demeaning comments.

It was quite interesting to see you coming in and voicing your opinion.  And there you go trying to insinuate that I am insulting you rather than having a frank discussion.  I don't pussy foot around and you know that. 

You however use the same tactic each and every time you are on the defensive.  "I suppose I will just stop posting on this forum."  This is a statement heard often from you and in your own forums you choose to outcast those that don't worship at your alter of ego. 

The fact that same folks that profited from the bubble are now being put in a position of power yet again.  That is the issue and if you are aware as you claim to be you would not defend the guy as you do.  Your own off-hand insults are obvious to folks as well. 

A discussion is often times a debate on positions and points of view.  As you cannot defend your position you choose to make me the boogeyman.  You should know by now that tactic doesn't work. 

I do wish to thank you for doing so though as my friends list continues to grow because of these "discussions". 

Based off BHO's past and associates, benefactors and mentors has to raise red flags that were not shared by the liberal media.  I will continue to share these concerns.

 Just look at the news this morning and you will see he plans to reverse many (200) of Bush's policies and mandates.  Something that I happen to agree with but with caution. 

Because what we have here is someone that has risen to power for no apparent reason other than being presented as a purveyor of "Change".  I have to ask "Change to what?"  and no one has a clear perspective, other than what we do know about him and the people he has surrounded himself with, mostly radicals and profiteers that caused the current crisis we are in. 

Makes as much sense as hiring a "hacker" as head of security in hopes he will give up on his destructive and larcenous tendencies for a day's pay, doesn't it? 

These guys are profiteers from the very same entities that they headed up and drove into the ground and then jumped off the plane with their golden parachute.  I for one refuse to forget and offer them another on.

Bill, I am not your enemy I simply don't agree with you.  Deal with it.

   I have never criticized anyone for having an opinion different than mine. I only criticize the disrespectful manner in which some of those views are presented.

    You could express your disagreement with me without having to say things like " I need to educate myself or become more informed . Saying that someone has their head buried in the sand is rather insulting I think.

    Jim, you are not the only one who has studied recent politics and the election process. Just because my opinion differs from yours it doesn't mean that I have to do more research or that I don't know what I am talking about. It just means that I have formulated an opinion that differs from yours.

    I have never disrespected your opinion or anyone elses. I have only expressed my feelings about the way some views are presented. It is insulting to tell someone they need to educate themselves more before they can have an opinion to present. It is insulting to tell someone they have their head buried in the sand. It isn't about my alter ego Jim. It is about disrespect in the forums and it always has been. It isn't my opinion or just me being too sensative. It is about people like yourself who find it difficult to express themselves without belittling someone else. I am not the only one who has felt insulted by you. I am not the first person to try to express this concern to you. We are all wrong and you are always right.

    Here again, another forum becomes your stage. Another discussion gets directed towards personal insults and defense. This is why people leave forums. Not because of having different views but because of being tired of being insulted and disrespected.

Once again it appears you are attacking insulting me.  So be it, I am a big boy and can take it.  I deal with double standards everyday. 

Yes, folks do appear to have their heads buried in the sand.  If that offends you well " if the shoe fits, wear it, or buy yourself a new pair". 

I shall continue to express my views and opinions as I choose and see fit.  Last I heard that is the American way and the reason we are the great country we are today.
