Thanks for reminding me about the Mojo's they were a great bunch and would share their lunch with you and offer you some snapps!
I don't know about the knife edge at Bovington but I do remember very nearly being killed at the bottom of one, you know how the crew members should be multi skilled ie we had to know each others jobs as the expected life of a four man tank crew in battle was about 4 minutes!
Well I could balance the tank quite easily at the top of any knife edge, but it was decided the radio operator should have a go at driving. So I thought I would take a photo as he came over the top and when he balanced it, but the bloody idiot didn't stop at the top and came straight down.
When you look in the viewfinder of a camara everything seems further away, but I could tell by the expression on his face that something was about to happen. I had seconds to dive clear as otherwise I would have been crushed to death, I still have the photo somewhere where I was seconds form death.
