I did some googling and came up with some stuff and had to throw in a quick opposite opinion to all the agreement going on here!

I was under the impression that the reason Western Civilization knows of the history of ancient times is through what was recorded by the Greeks and so it was written in their language and the other languages are known from tablets and scrolls etc ... and some has been understood and cross referenced but... that these languages stem from Greek is a question that may not have an anwer that you want to here?

It is interesting that Judeo-Greek as a phrase was brought up... and I read what Dany posted about these connection and what you wrote and there is no doubt some truth in that when you are translating a certain specific scroll or tablet ...

I don't think you can necessarily make a blanket statement that all of Hebrew stems from Greek... If someone said it comes out of Africa.. i could see that possibility!  or out of India.... this is an amazingly complex subject...

I will search on the author of the book, Georgios, that you said died mysteriously and that his book is very rare now.
