Yes, Luella the power of the rays of the sun, but not direct exposure to it,for long periods, is well know as very beneficial for many conditions we as humans can have.
It the heat as in summer though exposure, should be more limited by wearing clothes that cover and wearing a hat and sun screen.
Another great thing for helping beat depression and gaining weight is walking a while everyday as is activates the endomorphines in our brain and helps stop depression as well as helping our muscles and circulation etc.

Hello Steve,

The medical community no longer tells people to go out and get some sun.  Instead, they try to shield you from it.  While too much sun is dangerous, we do need to soak in that Vitamin D.

Oh Gerri!  Your picture is breathtaking!  I have saved it, if you don't mind.

The sun has many healing qualities that we don't know about.  It affects our whole being.  Spirit, mind, and body.
