UBIEE- National Mobilizaton - End the war in Iraq

Dear UBIEE friends!

People around the world let's givit all together! Le's give it today.

People from all parts of the world want the war to end, but Washington has failed to take decisive action. With each passing month, the Iraq disaster claims the lives of nearly 100 service people and countless Iraqis as it drains 12 billion of our tax-dollars. Our communities are neglected and suffer the consequences.

This coming Saturday, October 27, people from all walks of life will gather in 11 cities around the country in a national expression of the breadth and depth of antiwar sentiment in this nation. For many people, it will be their first step in transforming their antiwar feelings into antiwar action. Regional actions will enable much larger numbers of people to participate.

On Saturday, October 27th there will be 11 massive demonstrations for peace throughout the United States. In Boston, Chicago, Jonesborough, Tennessee, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Seattle, people from all walks of life will join together to express their anti-war sentiments and to call for an immediate end to the conflict in Iraq.

	LATEST NEWS - RESULT of the fires in South Greece (ANSAmed) ATHENS, SEPTEMBER 5 - It may take more than 200 years for Greek fir forests to once again develop on the slopes of Mount Taygetus in the Peloponnese, provided there are no drastic changes to the climate, expert scientists said today. According to Thessaloniki University Forest Science professor Achilleas Gerassimidis, forests of Cephallonia Fir (Abies cephallonica) or Greek Fir - a unique species in the world - do not have the power to regenerate on their own in the same way as pine forests. In order for fir forests to regenerate they need shade, so it may be necessary for a pine forest to be grown first, while large-scale changes to the climate might also prevent a recovery. (ANSAmed). 	What a shame, Georgios! Its difficult to imagine the magitude of this senseless destruction and imagine the effects lasting for 200 years. The beauty will return, Georgios. 	Hello Terry! Thank you for coming in. Yes it is a shame! Very close to Taygetos there is one of the nicest caves in world. 4 miles long and you go by small boat though this cave and the beauty is indescribable. THe entrance to Hades Mount Taygetos Before people could combine a visit to the sea, to this cave and a mountain daily trip. Now they will think what to do. No forests, nothing but rocks. The cave is known from ancient time and there was one of the gates to HADES. Georgios
