Hello Paula,

Nice to see you in the garden. Gerri found the right plant. It is a Clivia. I will have to print off the info Gerri provided so that I don't forget.

Thank you for your help.

I think you may be right about Benjamin's music.

Here is a picture of Loupio for you. The little (or big) darling was helping Polly to scratch when she had her problem. He's such a sweetie and has a great temperament.

I should have put a picture of him last week. He has a very clear cross on his back.

Angel cuddles,

Sarah

Hello Sarah,

Okay... I finally made it back to the garden!

What beautiful flowers in that picture!  Wow!  I have one of those myself!

And about
Loupio and Polly.  They need hugs too!

Sending hugs your way....

Joe

Hello Joe,

I'm glad you made it back to the garden.

Hope you are feeling better.

The Clivia plant has got wonderful flowers hasn't it. We all look at it as we go through the lounge.

Polly and Loupio lap up the hugs, so thanks.

Angel cuddles,

Sarah

HOIST THE SAILS!

By John McConnell

Four billion years ago
Our lonely Earth
Set sail on cosmic seas
Guided by an unseen hand
Of nature, God or chance.

As life evolved
Through endles eco-cycles
Man was born, destined
To destroy or enrich
the Precious Ship.

And now his hand
Has seized the tiller
But his ear has not
Yet caught the Captain's
Quiet command.

The sails are down, the ship becalmed,
Its fragil life at stake.
No longer do we ride the gentle swells of
Silent seas and breathe
The fragrant air.

Broken are the rhythms
Of our cyclic plants
And other living things.

But now the Captain speaks again
Our quiet thoughts at last reveal his voice.

"Hoist the sails, Earth Man.
Set them for celestial winds.
Hold the tiler firm,
The course ahead is clear."

Be He nature, God or chance
His voice is heard
And we shall heed
The Captain's quiet command.

Hello folks,

Lydia has started an International Day of the Earth thread here:
http://community.adlandpro.com/forums/thread/995935.aspx

When I saw it, it got me looking on the internet and I found the International Earth Day site where John McConnell's poem was posted.

It's very interesting reading, if you have a few moments.

Angel cuddles,

Sarah

Walking Garbage CanHi Sarah,
Thank you so much for the invitation to your forum.  I will admit that I enjoy gardening myself, however when you live in an apartment with many restrictions and not much land there is not much that you can do. Growing up, my parents had a little bit of land which my mother kept alive with various types of flowers.  She had a Red Rose Bush on a trellis, a Yellow Rose bush on a trellis, and a White Rose bush on a trellis.  One day I saw her take a twig from each bush and before long she was seperating the different colors and combining them.  White with Red, Yellow with Red, and so on.  When the flowers bloomed, they were maginficent with color.  She had set up two trellises in the front yard by the road for all to see.  As the Red and White Roses bloomed, cars began to stop and admire the breathtaking sight.  They were pure white with veins of red coursing through them.  We all went outside to see why all these cars were stopping and those that could afford camera's were snapping pictures.  Fully opened, the Roses were beyond belief.  My mother looked, smiled, and sighed.  Her name was Sarah also, but had a nickname.  A neighbor called out, "Sadie, what do you call that?" pointing to the roses.  She turned, smiled, and replied, "I call that the Blood Rose.  The white stands for the purity of Jesus and the Red stands for the blood that he shed for our sins."

Okay, now for the reason that you invited me here.  Several years ago I wrote a poem which was printed in the Indianapolis Star to my surprise.  I would like to share it with you all at this time and hope that you like it.  I had always felt that this particular poem would make a nice song, therefore if anyone feels that they could put it to music I will work with you on it.

                               Things That Money Can't Buy
                                                by; Michael James Caron

I have found so many things that money cannot buy
The Morning Dew on Roses' Lips, and a Rainbow in the sky.
Shadows on a Window's Shade-young couple's warm embrace
So many wondrous sights I've seen, that money can't erase.

Ocean views of Milky Lace, Spraying on to shore
Gentle Blue-Green waves rolling in and out once more.
Cascading Waterfalls descending to the Forest's Emerald Door
Diamond Shards that glisten on the Misty, Mossy floor.

I've seen the Crimson, Amber shades of Sunsets across the Vast
                                                                     and Arid Desert Sands
And heard the Crickets chirping in far-off Distant lands.
Each new day brings Beauty in each and every way,
Colors blend and Sparkle, and then begin to fade.

Our lease on life is oh, so short-when wonders do abound
God Gave us so much Beauty-take time to look around.

(Editors note from the Indianapolis Star:  Caron's poem won honorable-mention honors in Illiad Press and The National Registry's Spring Poetry Competition.)

Thank you Sarah for this opportunity.  I do hope people enjoy it.

GOD BLESS YOU

MIKE
