Thank you for taking up my invitation to bring your poem here. I hope someone does put it to music one day. I'm sure visitors to the garden will enjoy it as much as I do.

Thank you too for the story about your mother's roses. That is wonderful. Roses are my favourite flowers too.

Hi Sarah,
  It is I who should be thanking you.  I began at the beginning of this forum, forgetting temporarily that all that I needed to do was to go to your profile, click on your forums and choose the page that I wanted.  However it was not until I read so many fascinating posts.  Crop circles, Hillybilly gardeners, unicorns and dragons.  This is truly one of the most informative forums I have entered yet.  Now, as for the shyness.  You now know why I keep my walking trash can handy.  I never know when I have to leap in for cover.  I am so shy and timid, as many of my friends will tell you.  You have a Conucopia of information in this forum and I wish that I had entered long ago, but you can be sure that I will return as often as I can.
 On the subject of Crop circles.  There has been much debate on whether they were made by extraterrestial visitors or pranksters.  Regardless of who made them, they represent beauty.  Unicorns and dragons.  Pictures of both have appeared on cave drawings by ancient civilizations. 
  Weeds in our gardens.  There are many weeds that are beneficial to us, and provide food for insects that would otherwise destroy our flowers or vegetables.  Nature itself is a symphony of balance providing all that is needed within itself.  Therefore, there are some weeds that we pull up that are meant to protect the seeds that we plant.  The State Flower of Texas is the Bluebonnet.  The Bluebonnet is officialy a weed.  Yes, I will definetely be back.  Thank you so much, by the way, for bringing me back in time to when I first saw the Blood Rose.  I have no idea what it is called today.
  I was born and raised in a small village in Massachusetts called East Taunton.  The village was at least 98% Portuguese. My father was French Canadian and Irish and French made up the other 2% of the population.  As it was Portuguese and French it is obvious that it was a very religious village.  I'm not sure how old I was at the time, however I remember one lazy Summer afternoon when the sky was bright, and suddendly dark clouds began to roll in.  There was no rain predicted for that day and I was at the village playground where my mother was the overseer for the children.  When the clouds rolled in she blew her whistle (If I ever could learn how to get that little pea out of that hole)to gather the children to bring them inside.  Suddenly, one of the children pointed towards the sky as a Thunder clap sounded and yelled "Look, up there!!"  We all looked, and the whole neighborhood was outside looking at the same time.  The clouds were suddenly multi-colored and began to move in different directions.  Within a very short time we were all looking up at the most vivid outline of the Face of Jesus and another boy pointed and said, "His Hands!! They are stretched out."  Grey-White clouds formed the sleeves, darker clouds formed his beard, and a bluish tear shaped cloud could be seen on his cheek.  The imigine began to fade, but not before the entire village witnessed the miracle.  We were all shaking.  Several of the village people {No, not the Y.M.C.A.}reported the sighting to the local newspaper, however the only person that thought to take a picture was shaking so much that the picture came out blurry.  The newspaper laughed it off.  When something happens that we cannot explain, we tend to laugh it off, however as many signs as we have been given by GOD to LOVE ONE ANOTHER and LIVE IN PEACE, I wonder when we will get the Final message?  The most important seed that we can plant is the seed of Peace.  I will never forget that wondorous sight and for about a week or two the people in that tiny village did hug one another, they were kind and merciful, but it did not last.

Thank you for the roses and the music. I love Enya's music. It is soothing and always meaningful. The music seems to go to our most profound depths, if you see what I mean.
