Hi Gaby, the bible is very specific about working on Sabbath. The rules are layed out on the table. However, as Jesus explained, there are exceptions to the rule. If someone is hurt, and they need help, we will help them. If a donkey is stuck in a ditch, we will get him out. I personally am in the air ambulance business. If someone needs to be transported on the Sabbath, I do not feel guilty about doing it. However, if I was working for an airline, I probably could not live with myself, because most people are traveling either for business or personal reasons, and that type of travel could wait until another day.

Hi Arthur, (Old Coot), I have yet to hear the story behind the name!! Well, I see you addressed what I just mentioned in my most recent post. I should have just referred Gaby to you!! All of these are exceptions to the rule. And, unfortunately, there are alot of people who will try to find an exception and use it as an excuse, if you know what I mean!!

Jesus died so we would be free from the old covenant that weighs us down with rules. The jews were blinded by the law, it was a stumbling block to their faith. We as Christians live by grace through faith in Jesus. The gift of salvation is a free gift open to all who will accept His grace. Grace is unmerited favor. We couldn't attain it ourselves, no matter how good we think we are, we'll never be good enough, no matter what we do. Jesus paid the price for all time.
DID YOU KNOW? The U.S. Social Security Board reports that 85 out of 100 Americans reaching age 65 don't possess as much as $250. And only 2% are self-sustaining (the rest dependent on family, church, or the government)! Want to know what the "2-percenters" know that you don't? www.sfi4.com/11579740/FREE
