Bruce, Luke 11 is a very good chapter, especially the Lord's Prayer, however, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here with the text you provided. This thread is supposed to be about the Sabbath. Thanks for sharing anyway!!

I suggest you read Luke 11 beside Matthew 12.

The reason I use URL's instead of c & p is because if someone wants to get ugly, they could slap me for copyright and property infringement issues. Copy & pasting scripture is OK though I'm sure.

I believe that where there is controversy there's division. The Jews still worship on the sabboth, but what day is the 7th in the Jewish Calender? God's time is not the same as ours. One day to God is as a thousand years to man. When he told Adam that "this day he would surely die" he was telling the truth. Adam died in less than a thousand years. There are so many things we could find "controversial" about the bible, but I think it's best to just do what Christ said we should do and follow two simple rules. To put God first and love our neighbor as ourself and that will take care of everything.

DID YOU KNOW? The U.S. Social Security Board reports that 85 out of 100 Americans reaching age 65 don't possess as much as $250. And only 2% are self-sustaining (the rest dependent on family, church, or the government)! Want to know what the "2-percenters" know that you don't? www.sfi4.com/11579740/FREE

Hello Jim,

I always like your forums.  I myself having been raised catholic have always observed Sunday as my day of Sabbath.  I never realised how many different type of religions there actually are until I came to this Country and I was amazed.  I think we should be observing the Sabbath as the Bible tells us but it's a very hard habit to break when it's the way you were raised to firmly believe.  Nowadays we also have to consider the working force some people have to work on Saturdays to support their family/themselves. I think God understand as long as we have him in our hearts.

God Bless,
Gaby
