Nicely put Arthur, However, we must face the facts that there are many who believe that because we cannot see them and they have to answer to no one, they can pull some shady stuff. Challenging the system here can be quite an activity. I had a person posting to me who admitted the profile pic was a model's picture....his name a fake. But what about those who don't admit it. Even tho we may develope a relationship with people, we can never be sure if all is truthful. Ever purchase something or trust that you were given true facts and then be betrayed? Caution in all we do. Arthur you have been a wise one to advise us to keep us out of trouble. Unfortuantely, people don't want to hear. Thus this forum to point out the need for due diligence and caution.

Hi Monica, Have to tell the good along with the bad and ugly. We hear a lot of bragging and see a lot of hugging in Adlandpro. Can there be anything to fear? Yes, all is not what we think it is. Caution and due diligence in all transactions as we work in the Adlandpro site.

William, Thanks for stopping in. Well I didn't really think this would be a discussion of pros and cons. I rather meant it to be a fact finding forum to list the dark side of any community. We can't bury our heads and say all is well. Often a failed program is never held to task for ripping off our members. The promoter just leaves for a period of time, comes back with the same profile and name and continues as if nothing had happened. Some come back with a new name, profile and no one knows the difference. Some rip us off and we are ashamed to admit to the community. You say I have pretty well covered the issue but I am leaving this open in the hopes that we might discover any that need to be included. I covered spam in another forum and pointed out the usefulness of spam. That would be a debatable issue but not something that is anything to fear. Therefore, that won't be included in the list. It is an anoyance to some and a tool for others just like ads in personal mail. It's what you make of it and how you want to handle it. Spend endless hours debating about it or get over it. It's a fact of life on the internet. I think your idea of the issue of disrespect is very valid. When someone makes a serious mistake, a kind response is nice rather than berating them. Foul language, name calling, denying freedom of speech are not acceptable in our terms of service. Paranoia, "your talking about me", is a slap in the face. Sending messages to someone who has asked not to be contacted. Abusing a frienship is disrespectful. Thanks for the idea and it will be included. Since you enjoy debate forums, you well know that it is acceptable to agree to disagree. That I think I covered in the original list here and another Panda Pointer forum. Keep with us and see what else gets added to the list. Thanks for your contribution. That's what makes for a disucssion forum.

 I will do that, I can usually pick  good or bad from people even on the internet... it suprises me, how easy it really is to tell.. even online!

 Now at least,   My first year online was a nightmare got sucked in by many....  & believed  everyone!  Not so naive any more thank goodness.

Have learnt a lot the hard way...  Always vigilant,  but open at the same time!
