thank you for the tip, and I agree with the number of friends not being important! Also the religion thing, how wrong is that? I am glad I could add some valid points to your list. Oddly, with myspace, people always complain about the same things, but it is not nearly as bad as it is on here! Crazy I know, and I only got my page there to keep up iwth friends, and now I am doign busines on it. Who knew?

Hi Mary,   Great Post,  I have been pretty lucky I guess, I haven't had any bad experiences in here,  (touch wood),   I do just delete the personal messages that are just one Big Giant Ad...  :)  

Get a few, but I don't let them bother me, & it doesn't happen often...  & I have joined a couple of things online through someone I met in Adland that have actually been very beneficial so it usually evens itself out!  

There are always going to be the odd few that abuse any system, so to speak, that is inevitable & life I guess... 

I have met some really lovely people in here, It is sometimes just a matter of sifting & sorting,  my friends list isn't huge, but that's OK,  I wouldn't have time to have conversations with thousands anyway :)  

To Emily,   I would love to be your friend, I'm a big believer in the universal laws of life,  but I'm not really religious :) been through a lot in my life, but always get through it, & keep smiling... maybe I could help You! :)  

There are a lot of nice people in here, that are genuine, it would be a shame for you to have to cancel your account...  I hope you don't have to go to that extreme, coz it can be a great place to get to know people.

Bruce, Would that be #4? One has to do their due diligence. But if someone is not being honest in their promotion we need to find out for ourselves. The dark side is that your wish is not always the truth. Sorry Bruce but the elderly, disabled, needy members of adlandpro are victims daily. Thus # 4 is part of the dark side of Adlandpro. Also when one finds out they have been promoting a bad program, it sure would be nice to admit it and stop trying to convince others of how great it is ,in the hopes of making the program work.

It is full of plain, ordinary people. Some are successful. Some are not at all. Some are people you want to be friends with. Others you would not gladly pass the time of day with.

Do you know what is not so nice about Adland?

I like the internet for the various contacts I can have with people - but I never really know who they are until I have spoken with them and seen how their minds work. Adland is a place where there needs to be no posing, no posturing, no blatant lying but, just like in the real world - that is what happens.

So, just like in the real world, I value the friends I make for what they are, not for what they pretend to be. It's just so much easier to spot the fakes in Adland.
