What trustworthy means to me
1st - for anyone to be trustworthy, they must be HONEST...not only with themselves but with others
(Honesty is the best policy.. without this, there is no trust)
2nd - they must be SINCERE.. anyone can say anything, can type anything online.. but where is the proof of their sincerity?
(Especially if you have heard someone say something repeatedly,
but yet to see evidence. Actions speak louder than words)
3rd - they must be TRUE.. not use or take advantage of others..
and especially not use God. Not claim to be something that they aren't in hopes of gaining friends..
That's 3 very important things to being trustworthy.
And I must add.. that I see alot of people using God on Adland.. claiming to be religious and self righteous, then in the next breath attacking someone, lying on people, lying to people, etc..
This is wrong in so many ways. And these people I do not find trustworthy, and I have no respect for them. I will not join their business nor will I purchase any products from them.
One of my favorite Bible verses is
Proverbs 6: 16-19
16. These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him :
17. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18. An heart that deviseth wicket imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethern.
The Reason this is one of my favorite, is because it mentions things that the Lord does hate, and as a Believer, I also do not like to see these things in people.. and if I do, then NO, they are NOT trustworthy..
Notice the very 1st thing listed, A PROUD LOOK... Pride - especially in abundance, is EVIL... and yes, God hates it.
I will stop here.. because I think I have made my point on my opinion.
This was a very interesting subject.. Thank you for the opportunity to post my opinion, Thomas!
Love you and God Bless!
