Hi Everyone...

I've been noticing this for a while now also... I was really cautious when I first joined... I generally am by nature... but I've noticed some situations where I had to wonder is the person truly in need for the reason they claim?

Then there are two different people ~ that I've seen on several other networking communites...I'd have to go back and double check...but I think they are using aliases! close versions of their own names...sometimes the american sounding name sometimes not.  I think one of them is here at Adland but if I see on my friends list and take the time to cross reference to my 2 or 3 other communities I'll let you know! it just seems odds is all...

here's a situation that happened to me... but I wasn't taken in by it. I thought I was getting to be friends with a person here at adland and she said her daughter was in Avon like my daughter was at the time... and we exchanged a few more pm's and then she asked me if I'd be interested (or my daughter) in buying the domain 'hotavon.com"  ... then it occurred to me...she does this... buys and sells domains and is really smooth while being like a sister-in-law...

but I ain't been totally swindled yet... no... i just got some people to follow me into a real no-where program... that's all i did... boy oh boy! that was a real learning experience! LOL... but I'm still promoting it on ALP TE and it may be elsewhere in a classified or two... it may pick up who knows?

Thanks for reminding me about the beware... i thought it was just me.... and thanks steven for being their like a pit bull...

Beth, yes, things like your experience is common.. that's why we need to warn others.. The Good People need to look after the other good and innocent ones.

Sharon, thanks for you opinion.  Some things could be reported.. but what if the Adland Rules were not actually broken?  Then Adland would do nothing, correct?  Certain people can be sly with the way that they con others..  dishonest and misleading..  That's where topics like this come in handy, to warn innocent people of what is out there.  But thanks for your opinion.

We must be careful before posting anything that may offend someone. And if one calls anyones business a scam or anything otherwise,,They can be held liable if not supported with factual material.
