Hi Kenneth and Linda, I read most of the forums sent my way but don't often comment. I felt the need to comment on this one because I think that this kind of discussion is what makes this group a great one. First of all, this is America and we can post things like this in free, public forums, so long as Ken hasn't hurt anyone, then he hasn't committed a crime...and sharing a prayer here is his decision. Linda, you have a choice to hit your delete key when you saw the subject of the forum, so you wouldn't be offended by what's obviously important to Ken. I also respect your right to voice your opinion about what Ken wrote...it's what's important to you! I really enjoy the diversity of opinions and personalities that you find here at Adlandpro. It's one of the reasons I continue to meet people here and make friends. Take care! Mike Malachefski Toms River, NJ

Hello Ken, Just thought I'd weigh in on this, when I went to school we had to pledge allegiance to the flag and recipe the Lord's prayer, we had fist fights, but we did not go out of our way to murder each other, if anything we became life long friends. Now we have Guns and Witches and alternative life styles in our schools. We used to have respect for each other, yes there were some that were and is still iged by this. I still Love the Gettysburg Address! You can still read it here if anyone needs to refresh their memory of it: http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/gadd/. Yes Abe and Reagan were my favorite Presidents they were real Men. As for the Preachers they are after money in my book, I watch them preach a prosperity message and get people to send them money and then brag about how many members they have and how big their churches are. It sounds like it and it looks like it but it is not the Gospel of Our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ. I can't go into it here it covers to much, but they do not know what day we are living in. "John Knew and wrote about it in the book of Revelations". Thats a big subject, enough said on that. The prosperity message is a message of greed, that has made a lot of people go after money in anyway possible, after they have sent their money to all those false Prophets, and did not receive the blessing they were promised. The Lord said "seek me and my rightousness and I will add all these things unto you" but the preacher has said that you have to plant a seed into his ministry to get that blessing, what a lie. And this has made people all the more desperate to have more than their neighbor. If only people would read their bible and not just listen to the preacher on Sunday. How can you give that you don't have? It's a rough day out here. You first have to freely receive to freely give. So it comes down to what have you freely been given. If you notice most preachers go to school to learn the ministry to have a way of work so they can provide for their families, these were not called of God nor sent by him to diliver his word. That's another big subject to deep for this forum. Well now you see it's about the money! I hope you are not offended by this, but it is real.No love for our fellow man. God Bless Jerome

Its been sent to me via email and I think its perfect companion to your poem: The Sad Death Of Common Sense I received this in a recent email and I have no idea who wrote it, but it certainly resonates with me. What do you think? "Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by the name of Common Sense who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such value lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge). His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; however they could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Finally, Common sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still know him pass this on, if not join the majority and do nothing."
