Hi Pauline,
Just wandered by here and found some beautiful posts. Thank you for your ongoing forum and for the thoughts and the sharing. Each post made me think of scriptures that are special to me and one that comes to my mind whenever I am feeling disconnected from the truth about God's love for me is:
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither
height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to
separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Another that comforts me about God's love and his delight in me is:
Zephaniah 3:17
"The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing."
I also loved the post from Braveheart about the fact that we Christians are changed...we are not the same as before. He has indeed made us new. We now have hearts of flesh instead of hearts of stone. We are changed & we need to quit saying we are just sinners. Yes we were just sinners before our salvation, but now we are new creatures & we need to allow the Holy Spirit to move in our lives so that we will not keep living as if we are the same old creatures.
So many, many great scriptures I could share regarding these posts...I really enjoyed reading them & it's an encouragement to be reminded anew of just what the Lord has done for us. We need to live as if we are changed & quit subjecting ourselves all over to a yoke of bondage and slavery to sin.

Hey, I just loved your pictures of the ocean that were taken at your retreat. Especially the one with the sun setting on the water and displaying the fantastic golden hues across the water's surface. The composition of that picture was as beautiful as any that I've seen ;-)
Yes, really!!!
Love,
Cheryl
