Hello Everyone,

My name is Glenn Kipps, the owner of ValidTravel.com.  About three years ago, off for 4 months due to an injury at work.  I thought about things I could do to prevent boredom.  I decided to start building a website.  So, I went to the store to purchase my website builder, FrontPage 2003.  I then picked 102 key words and built a link directory around each word.  Each key word had its own page with up to 100 links per page.  Some of the categories now have more than one page.  For a while, that was all there was, a directory.  A little over a year ago, I added Google Adsense.  About that time, I also decided to sell Samsonite and Coleman products.  First, I contacted Samsonite to see how I could sell their products online.  They told me that I could not sell their products directly on my pages, but I could become an affiliate.  Thus, our affiliation with Samsonite was born.  After that was secured, I contacted Coleman about selling their products online.  They told me that I could do a dropship program if I went through one of their distributors.  They gave me two names and recommended one over the other.  I went with their recommendation, did what they required and started building my online catalog.  I just finished it in October.  

I eventually want to add a membership area to the site, but for now, I want to concentrate on getting visitors and customers.  My promotion efforts include writing several articles and submitting them to the article banks using Article Marketer as the vehicle.  I have also posted to several travel forums that allow me to advertise my business in the signature.  My most recent effort is joining communities such as AdlandPro.  I belong to 4 of them.

Once I get ValidTravel.com profitable, I plan to build 6 more websites.  This first one was trial and error.  Now that I know what I am doing, I will be able to build the other 6 faster.  I will also have the help of automated software (SEO Elite).
