Thank you Robert for a wonderful forum topic and your brilliantly humourous synopsis of the state of Western business mentality!

And Neil and Sheryl - your additional comments say it all.

Too many chief's and not enough injuns!  Everybody wants to be their own boss - but they seem to forget that the really successful bosses had to do a lot of learning and listening along the way to achieve it.

We seem to have forgotten the value of real knowledge nowadays and just go for the glitz.  It is not just teenagers who think they know it all these days - but maybe when we realise that we dont know it all, we will a chance of real success!

Saludos
Jenny

I think a good boss or leader is someone who shows by example and does

what he or she says.

Hello Robert, Sorry to disagree, only the often used statment about "Knowledge is Power" is, as are far too many other commonly used "little bits of wisdom" incorrect. Knowledge, in it'self, is only knowledge. It is the application of knowledge which is powerful. Neil P.S. Increased knowledge is the reason people go from being religious to being non-religious.
