Kathleen,

I hope your husband's name isn't Joe.  This is getting scary here.  I too love filing cabinets.  When ever I see one of those with that gorgeous wood grain and those lovely brass handles, I just hear it calling, "take me home, i will keep everything organized for you, please".  Arrrg!! I have only bought one of those and my son inherited it this year for his room.  :(   I use to keep all of my computer tools in that one.  Now it is all in a box in the garage.  I don't like these inexpensive metal ones anymore.  I have one that the rollers wore out and it's only a year old.

Speaking of the garage.....   Should we go there or is that another forum?     :)

Oh boy, Kathleen, you've done it again!

Judy and Joe love your posts too ... I'm sitting here in stitches.  Unfortunately, I can relate!

I used to be really organized ... I don't like clutter.  Then I was told my someone who knows, I had to let go of perfectionism.  Gradually, I did!

My house is still clean and organized, but I have this room for an office ... you really don't want to see it ... I don't ... I kinda close my eyes when I come here and I definitely close the door when we have visitors.

My husband finally made an attempt to clean it up a week or so ago, but he's still waiting for me to do my part ... he'll likely wait a long time!

Actually, the office looks something like my Files in Outlook that I just can't do without.  However, in the past 4 years, I've spent being a netmarketer, my computer crashed ... not once but twice.  Did I have back-up ... nope not on your life.  But do you know what I gained from those 2 crashes?  You probably won't believe it, but what I gained was a new sense of FREEDOM!

Thank you, Kathleen, you are an inspiration and more greatly appreciated than you could possibly know.

Sincerely,
Terry

Terry,

Did you have to mention backing up the computer?  I know I have about 16 tasks scheduled for that or else I have reprioritized it that many.  Oh boy!  If my computer pays much attention to these posts I'M IN BIG TROUBLE!

I experience FREEDOM every time someone makes a comment about my garage.  I just freely tell them, "I knew you were a friend and so glad you would help me clean out my garage".  So, you see... having a messy garage can be handy.  :)

Hi Joe,

When my computer crashed, I panicked.  It was like the world had come to an end.  You know what it didn't.  There was absolutely nothing that I lost that was really that important even though I thought it was.  You know what else ... I felt the exactly the same panic the second time.  There are simply some things in life that we need to let go of.

Maybe you would consider getting one of your friends to clean your garage for you ... thoroughly ... getting rid of it all!

Cleaning garages ... definitely what friends are for!

Smile & Have A Great Day!

Sincerely,

Terry

Hi Terry,  I am howling with laughter from this forum!  I used to be such a perfectionist that all of my friends teased me - they still do- however I did a 360 in some areas - you cannot FIND the top of my desk!  Ever since I got my laptop I have little "offices" in several locations throughout the house - but not at my desk!  Go figure.  Back in the 70's when everyone smoked everywhere, I would prctically follow my guests around the house emtying ashtrays and cleaning them out as theyput their cigs out.  That's where the teasing started and it continues today with the organization of my kitchen and the absurd neatness in this place or that - almost sterile they say!

Anyway - no one is perfect - though I sure did give it a go - and I have my "pet places" that if I (I, being the operative word here) mess something up, then it is perfectly acceptable - I after all, will be the one who has to clean it up.

And, yes, Kathleen, Joe and Terry - I will STILL HIRE ME!!!!!!  Isn't this fun - I feel like I'm confessing my sins!!

Blessings and cheers

Judy
