Probably more times than not when you think about it.  Isn't a foe everything you don't want to be? So, you learn and get wisdom from the recognition of those things.  It's when the foe has a trait that you don't like or want that you recognize as one of your own that you REALLY get wise, and take the action needed to correct it.

Hi Bogdan,

Thank you for this great quote. It is important to be open-minded. I believe that we can learn something from everyone we come in contact with. However, we may not like what we learn because it means giving up what we have held onto for so long as the truth when in actuality it wasn't.
