Wow! That's pretty interesting! I do know that the foods you eat do affect you. Since I've essentially eliminated fast food from my diet and started eating more natural and whole foods, including the ones mentioned, I feel much better and more energetic. I have not lost much weight, but I'm not gaining any either.
I started preparing my own meals out of necessity. In my old job, I worked all the time and it was just too easy to grab something on the way home. Well, with my current job I am making less money, but have more time (much happier, too). I discovered you stretch your grocery dollars a lot further by buying unprepared foods, fresh veggies and fruits and whole, uncooked grains and beans. No salt, no preservatives, either!
