Springtime Magic
by Patricia Claricia
Saw you unwrap; like a gift
You made an entrance
Tender petals, withouta scratch
From the soil emerged on
The front lawn, a river
Of flames
Green leaves shooting from
Bare "dead" sticks.
Vibrantly clothing nature with
Every color imaginable; and more
Shades of red, of blue, greens and yellows
Earthy gate, your silo of treasures
You open wide.
Your wings unfold
From a dead cocoon
A new day is dawn, a new
Start for you.
Your beautiful wings propel the air
You flutter gracefully
You are alive...springtime!
