To get to the rainbow,
You have to pass through the rain.
To get up in the morning is sometimes a pain.
But once your up you go about your business.
You work and slave when no one will witness.
How is it that I got on this earth?
Well thats obvios you went through a birth.
Like morning follows darkness
The next day dawns
The yesterday is forgotten
and a new life begotten.
Whatever happened to the pain of yesterday?
We forget thank goodness while in bed we lay.
Yes life is full of pleasure and pain
But to get to the rainbow
You pass through the rain.

That was really great!  What a wonderful reminder to us all when we start to feel overwhelmed by the pressures of our day........that a rainbow is waiting for us just around the corner!

The Power

When we grow older
our bodies a little colder
Working with things has become harder.
But when we look into a newborn's eyes
we get a suprise.
In them we see
The power of belief
That goes beyond grief,
and our faith and joy become stronger.
What is it in those eyes
That renews our lives?
The strength from within grows larger.
It is the poweer of hope
That gives us a rope
When we are reaching for answeres.
We may not yet be
What we want to see
That we are the person of the hour.
But those eyes
Stops our demise
And lifts us up with great power.

Does it Matter?

I wonder I wonder if my life matters?
If anyone notices the things I scatter
I would be one of many
and my words and deeds go unnoticed.
Yes indeed you are important
Your presence is like the flower petals of the lotus.
Many things you do and say
make a difference in lives this way.
A smile, a gesture of good friendship
Is more powerful that a battleship.
Why I remember just the other day,
You came by and talked this way.
Just the wings of the butterfly
can trigger and magnify.
The tiny wings pusth the wind
and a large storm it can begin,
by one swipe of its smallest flutter
can make the mighty sound of thunder
Do I matter, yes indeed.
For your life is uniqe and great the need
for a kind word or smile or word or deed.
you touched my life and now I'm free.
My life changed from your smile you see.
