Hey Linda and friends,

I'm typing this with no blank lines between paragraphs.

Linda, I am glad to see that you find the editor is not consistent so I know it's not just me.

I don't see a way to subscribe to this thread for notification either.

I find the loading speed to be the same as before the new editor (I am using IE with DSL).

I like the photos across the top.  I think it gives us more exposure and exposure is good.

At first I did not like the little message pop-ups; however, I'm getting used to that I noticed that MY messages pop up so that is again more exposure for ME.  All good.

Okay, so since I can't preview this and I don't know how the editor is going to respond, if this is all bunched up... I didn't do it!

Thanks for starting this conversation, Linda ... and for posting in my forum so I know it is here.

Blessings.  (here goes the POST button... NOW!)

Hi Linda,

Based on your and others feedback we have made some adjustments to our edit control and now we give two options to use your old plain control and the advanced one. See just the above the post while in editing mode there is a link which allows you to switch into simple or advanced mode. The system will remember which mode you used last time and always offer this option in the future until you change it.

Check it out and let me know if you like it better this way. We have also removed problem with the double spacing and made current WYSIWYG cross platform compatible, meaning users with Firefox and Netscape will see it now.

Remember that if you use WYSIWYG editor option, pressing "Enter" key will always create one space between lines. To just advance to the next line, just keep typing till you reach the side of the editing area and you will be automatically positioned in the next line. If you want to use hard break without space, keep "Shift" key while pressing "Enter".

OK, I give up. The editor has changed at least twice today. First the last forum thread I posted was all bunched up. Since it was long and I have complained to others about block text, I went back and painstakingly added spaces. Now they have doubled. So, I take no responsibility for how my posts look until this settles down. Somehow the 'email me' button re-appeared at the bottom. After posting a reply in another forum, I hit the 'email me' and the post, not yet posted, disappeared. I hate to be a whiner, but enough already! Bogdan, you will never be able to please everybody. I vote that we have the one that provides the fastest load time while being compatible with all browsers. I don't think that's this current one, as even at DSL speed it takes several seconds to load the editor--I have much slower load time right now than ever before. Then give us time to get used to the change before changing it again....PLEASE! Cheri

Hi Cheri,

The changes are done in stages and fixes are provided as they are being identified. We are dealing with multiple issues like different browsers, operating system e.g. WebTv, also different connection speeds and so on. What might appear to you as a problem, it looks correctly somewhere else and vice versa. The editor changed only once today and once last week. The spaces problem has been fixed in the context of current posts with the editor currently available, but this doesn't fixes previous post with the editor which has been here previously.

The editor which I'm using now is working properly. If you want faster load, just switch to option with no WYSIWG editor and you will get what you were used to previously. Also read my previous post for more details.

Hi Bogdan

One difference I notice is that when we switch to simple view, there does not appear to be a preview button. Or is that my browser? lol
