Hello Linda, Thank you for honoring our soldiers. I have had brothers, uncles, a sister, not to mention an ex husband in the service. The fight for freedom is still very real in many parts of the world. I would like to honor the soldiers from other countries standing alongside ours as well. The 4th of July is our day to show appreciation for our freedom. But we could not maintain it without our allies. Rose

Thanks for posting this. It's a reminder of something most of us take for granted. These Patriots endured so much to create a FREE America. July 4th is a special day to remember the sacrifices they made.

Linda, I'm touched that you took the time to seek out this meaningful 4th of July tribute and post it. The feelings on both sides of the current world situation and the role the US has taken in it have recently been expressed strongly here in Adland. It brought home to me more than anything else has done that we ordinary citizens of the US maybe don't understand world opinion as we should. On the heels of the controversy here, to have someone from the UK post this and be the first to hit my mailbox with a 4th of July subject means a lot to me. Thank you. Cheri
