Thanks to your reply Mary, I've mentioned it to several forums that my participation is limited due to the site being so slow. I've communicated with Bodgan several times to regards the new features causing people on dial-up having a hard time with the waiting period.

I had no intention of giving up on Adland Mary, just posting fewer replies in forums and visit once a week. Their was no time to wait as time is not something I have, getting frustrated by the wait was not worth it. I've never used the slide show to invite friends so it's not a loss to me and without it Adland is so much faster.

Bodgan has figured out ways for all to enjoy this great community and that I'm very grateful for !!!

Isn't it great that we are offered so many tools and we can pick and choose what works for us.  There is no other place like Adlandpro!!!

Mary, I'm glad Bogdan is looking for an opt out solution to this problem. Maybe he can make lemonade out of this lemon. Pop ups are not a tool for me, they are an impediment to an otherwise benefial service. I cannot choose to ignore them, because every time one loads, my page stops dead in its tracks! I would like to participate to a much greater degree, but it takes too much time.

I know exactly what you feel and I would like you to consider trying the options available to see if it would work good for you also. Here's the steps to try it if you wish:

When a shout-box appears, click "Options" then you will be taken to a page that has 3 choices. Choose option "#2" then click "make my changes" or "ok" unsure exactly of what it says, but you do need to save your changes. Then you will have the tiny box in the top left and the small individual pic on the bottom right.

Also, it does help a lot when you come to visit Adland that you delete all visited websites, so that file would be empty. When that file is to full is interferes lots with people on dial-up. I'm unsure if you know how to do this but here's the instructions to follow... just in case!

Click "Tools" "Internet Options" when it opens it should already be on "General" then you will see "Temporary Internet Files" then click on "Delete Files" then "Ok". If you do a lot of browsing then consider to also "Delete Cookies" but you will need to sign in to all your sites you belong too! This is only if you do a lot of browsing but it will not hurt to try it also !!!

It's not perfect as when the pics changes to another... their's a small delay! But the waiting is a lot less and the pgs download much faster. You'll have enough time to do your work and post with less trouble. Please, let me know how it's working for you Lorraine... I'm curious!

I agree with my fellow New Mexican! However, I would not have been in this forum without them...is there a less irratating place to locate them on the screen? Or maybe make them smaller???????????? Margaret
