Bogdan, I am sorry but I just can't do it! Your email invited me to this forum to see what all the fuss was about. It also said I should read all the posts, well... as Scotty once said to James T. kirk "I canna do it, Captain!" This is the most active forum I have ever seen. Every time I finsished read a page there was a new number at the bottom. I just can't keep up. I can't read that fast. However, I got the gist. I really enjoy the back and forth commentary. Great job with this site and keeping your members happy!

Hi Ricardo, The pop-ups referred to here are as forum notices and are only viewable for a few seconds. A pop-under would not be practicle in this situation but at least you are thinking for a viable solution to others wants. Kenneth

I guess I'm so new at this that I accept anything right about now. Pop-ups generally annoy me, but I can't say that I even notice them. Is that a good thing? Or not? plumwalk

Hi Mary I do disliske popups but, I like the Adland one because it let's us know what's going on in the community. The only annoying thing is that it comes across the page that we work on, try draping it down the page. Just a thought! Re: Cool or confusion

I’m nearing the end of my posts here. I feel that some times in business we must put our personal feelings aside and think of what is best for our business and learn how to take advantage of and benefit from even the things we do not like. I don't like answering a ton of email either from Adland members and others all the time but that after all is my business and not answering my friends emails or my customers emails could be a great disaster to my income. I don't always like seeing 100 emails in my inbox from Adland pro either but I know that these are friends I can find some way to serve in some way and the more the better. If I were just a forum poster seeking attention I might dislike the pop ups because they would take attention away from my forum but I'm not a mere forum poster and I do not need attention. My business needs attention and that is why I post in Adland forums. I use networking to make friends and I find a way I might possibly benefit my friends first so they know that my heart in in the right place. So they know I'm not just another greedy bugger. The pop ups give me access to making more friends and that is good for my business. The pop ups help me to access more information more quickly and to learn more about people and friends in Adland. There will be shift to where people learn how to post more vital information and more attention grabbing posts because they will know that they are not just posting to the forum but for the forum through out the whole entire net work, such as, "Hello friends I got your messages in the pop ups. I'm in “Cool or confusion” forum right now discussing this issue. Come join us. We need your in put". The pop ups will work to our advantage and benefit but many will have to learn this is true and put their personal feeling aside and think more about their business and about serving others. After all, the more people you serve the more income you earn. Is it really a matter of personal feelings or is it a matter of business maturity? Do you want to expand your network of friends or is your business really not that important to you? These are tough questions but they have to be asked and we must all think about these things maturely from a business perspective. Draw a line down the middle of a sheet of paper and on the right side write down all of the negatives you feel about the pop ups and on the right side write down all of the positive aspects of the pop ups and then lets come back here and post all our lists both negative and positive. Then we can add each others negative and positive lists to our own list and see which side of the list has a greater number of negative or positive. We can use this process of elimination and help each other find both all of the negatives and all of the positives and while we are building and sharing out list we will be able to see which side of the list holds the greatest weight. Left side. The Negative. 1.Pop ups bug some people. 2. Pop ups some times block the view. 3. Pop word copy ups some times lack meaning. you can't understand them. 4. I'm still thinking. 5. Pop ups reveal who is negative or positive. Right side. Positive side 1. Pop ups reveal more potential friend. 2. Pop ups help create larger network. 2. Pop ups help new member expose their forums to others. 4. Pop ups allow me to right click and open other forums in new window to access more forums to find more friend. 5. Pop up eliminate the clicks in Adland. The anti social people. 6. Pop ups give you access to more vital information more quickly. 7. Pop up can spread vital news more quickly. 8. Pop up expose the negative attitudes. Who to stay away from. 9. Pop ups are a quick way to invite other people in Adland to your forum. 10. Pop ups remind us about what we are here for and trying to achieve at Adland for our selves and family. I stop there and leave this as just an example. I will how ever Keep working on the list and will come back one more time Before weeks end to post my finished list. I hope others will Do the same and share their list so each of us can add all of the Negatives and positives to out own lists to see which side of the List bears more weight. This is a business tool to help resolve the challenge. Food for thought. Think your way to success. Dan
