Very Very Good Point. It should have been the first thing I thought of went I first posted but I was thinking about how these pop ups could benefit other people more them my self. When I joinevAdland I created a forum to see just how investigative members of Adland really are. Some have visited my forum but not many. I think that the pop ups will be of benefit to new member in Adland who set up forums as it will also benefit the forum I set up. Thanks again, Dan

Hi Roger, just a note, you can edit posts here in forums, and some people should make quick corrections. I too have made the mistake of being to quick to shoot off my big mouth and did find out that I could edit posts in my own forum. ( As well as say I'm sorry ). Like you I would not be posting this if it had not been for the pop up. Is that good or bad? I think pop ups are very good. If this post offends any one, I will personally say I'm sorry but will never change my mind about pop ups. I wish there was a way to have the Adland pop ups in my email account while I'm not logged in to Adland. I think that would be great. I'm just a little bull headed. P.S. Roger, You are always welcome in my forum any time and I do appreciate your posts. You give vital thoughts for the cause regardless of what it may be. Dan

I'm new here but not a marketing newby. From a marketing perspective, forums are a great source of traffic to your sites. Unfortunately, after visting many forums I got tired of flamers and goofballs and the general insensitivity of many posters - so I have stayed away. I admit, while still timid, I have noticed a difference in the forums here. You seem like a mature and friendly bunch. I think the pops are a good idea -very beneficial for the forum owner. The current pop did not slow my typing this message so the speed is okay. But are the pops beneficial to me as I read a forum? Maybe, if I got lucky and stumbled on one that was of interest to me. A Topic or subject line would help enormously. I might miss a thread or two that would be useful to me only because the popup text read "thanks for your comments frank! Look forward to your new newsletter." Could be a goldmine of information there but how am I to know? I feel like i am eavesdropping.

Hello Mary, So far, I'm not getting any pop-ups. Must be because I'm using CrazyBrowser which has automatic pop-up stoppers. Anyway, I'm not too crazy about them since I find them annoying. However, a good alternative would be pop-unders. That's more "polite" and unobtrusive. Cheers! Ricardo
