Re: Cool or confusion

Ok, I see some thinking of pop-ups as an annoyance and some see it as a benefit. Here's a thought. A pop-up can lead to feeding your family but your feelings of pop-ups cannot. And by the spelling 'family' comes before 'me'. Cute, eh? ;-) Happy blogging. __________ Kenneth R Sword Jr Co-CEO - Bizzy Blogz http://www.bizzyblogz.com Sponsor of the ABA Basketball 'Streetball' group "Nothing But Net Entertainment" http://www.bizzyblogz.com/NBNE/ New! Optamistic About Pop ups.
6/26/2006 10:16:34 PM
As always thank you for the invite. As for my self I don't mind the pop ups at all. They remind me of what I'm here at Adland for which is meeting friends and networking with people. I do not think the pop ups stay long enough. I would rather they let me click on them to make them go away if I want them to go away. Of course I'm always quick to adjust and at first I was objective when the first two pop up's came but then I quickly realized just how great the pop ups really are. I have also made a few new friends through the pop up's and picked up on some more information I felt was vital information. The pop ups allow me to expand my reach quickly, almost like being in a dozen forums at once. There is always some degree of challenge with a learning curve but reminding ones self of what they are here for in the first place makes the learning curve much easier. I’m certain that when we really think about it and use it to our real advantage we could easily come up with ten dozen more ways to use it and like it. For example, Imagine this in at pop up, "Contact me for really Free Advertising now!". Name one person on Adland who does nor need or want free advertising. Little small easy to read clips or attention grabbers in the box could increase your net working power in a very short period of time. When we click on the box it should open in a new window so we don’t lose out place and it would be nice if the pop up would remain in place and movable like a window after we click on it so we can continue reading and responding on the forum we are on. I use Don't Touch My Ads ( link below ) on my desk top and I like the way the system works to bring me more traffic. If we had at least one forum we could go to just to make small ad posts that would pop up through out all of the forms, that would be great. Or even an add on to each forum that would allow us to make quick clip posts to all forums would be very good. I'm still thinking about all of this and I'm certain I can come up with a dozen more ways to use the pop ups to benefit my self and every one else as well. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello again Mary, This I feel is a good reason to keep the pop ups every where. If it benefits other members as it does me then I’m all for the pop ups every where. I right click on the pop up links and open them in another window and slide them aside until I'm done. The pop ups allow me to multi-task between forums as I'm working on line. Just as Adcall is using instant messaging to help children we here at Adland need a quick and fast way to communicate with and to meet one another. I think the pop ups answer this challenge very easily and nicely with out to much other. I do my best not to make problems out of things that do not have to be problems and strive to find the advantage that will be to my benefit. But then again I'm and optimist. When I was a kid I'd dig in a pile of horse manure to find the pony. Click on Options when the pop up comes and you see our options. For those who do not know or have not clicked on options on the pop ups yet. Hey Tired Mary, I did not want to come back and increase your already heavy posting load. But I noticed that since I turned off my pop-ups I don't see my picture on the slides any more. Is that the punishment I get? I like to look at myself..lol. maxoutinvegas
