Sorry, Mary, I wasn't online at all yesterday. Also, I don't know how to do it, I just know Bogdan told me it can be done. Maybe he'll jump in and tell us. I no longer want to turn mine off, so I didn't bother to figure out where and how. But I'll poke around when I finish dealing with over 200 emails...who was it who said this would take the place of email notifications? How is that supposed to work? Cheri

Hi Cheri, Our forum here served several purposes. First a place to vent our annoyed feelings, second to seek some solutions, and third which surprised me was to find usefulness of the pop ups. We vented Administration listened we found usefulness of those little poppers. However, there should be times that we avoid the annoyance so we don't lose our place and our concentration. That solution would be to find a way to turn them off. Someone jump in here please with the answer if there is one.

Hi Mary, Couldn't resist the challange - so I scrolled to the top of the page to find a pop-up to experiment with. There weren't any. So I waited. And waited. And waited - They've been popping up all day for heavens sake!. I went to make a cup of coffee. I came back with the coffee and just missed one! . Like the computer games the kids play. Drank coffee. Went to look at something else. Came back. Got it!! Left Click on Options. Sign in if necessary. Then you have three choices. Notifications with photos, abreviated notifications and You can disable the whole lot but there is a warning if you choose this last option: " Warning! If you choose this option, due to technology limitations, messages posted by you will also be disabled for other users. Live notifications about your posts will be not displayed and visitors currently browsing the site won't learn about your forum through this effective method." Hope that is what you wanted to know. Jenny, Thanks for doing that before I got around to it! What a clever message... By the way, my new top hits count is 90, from day before yesterday. I wasn't online yesterday and the total fell dramatically. I think I've seen all I need to be convinced this is a brilliant new feature that we just needed a little time to evaluate.
