Norm, As Linda pointed out there were a couple of conversations taking place, my response to Lynda was based upon your message as it was addressed to her. You state, "I am afraid that I am not so dismissive of any writer's efforts at any level. Maybe being a writer myself explains that sensitivity." I wear many different hats and one of them is that of a publisher and I do dismiss many writers efforts as pure tripe. When it comes to E-Books I dismiss even more. My point was that should a person not be qualified to tell the difference between knowledgable work and more of the same crap, then they could easily pick what many others might consider to be good, while it isn't, in an attempt to make some fast cash. Doing the wrong thing for the sake of profit is never a good idea. In the publishing industry there are many people that THINK they know how to write and that they have written the next masterpiece, this just is not the case. They do not get the proper edting done, they don't in many cases even get the book properly formatted or even proofread for that matter. As you say you are not an expert on E-Books, nor am I, but I am an expert, so to speak, at working on-line, as well as some what experienced as a publisher of print books. In my many years of working on-line I have seen far to many E-Books that are both a waste of time and money and someone just doing a Google search to try and pick some to sell while they themselves have no expertise in that area, is not a good idea. Now Lynda has landed a job and for her that is more than likely the best news she has had in a long time. I am very pleased for her, so at this point I can consider the matter as closed.

First, Lynda with a "y", congrats on the offer. I do hope this will get you back on your feet. Seeing you are in that part of Texas that doesn't consider this part of Texas a part of Texas I forgive you. ;-) Yes, I'm way out west in El Paso. Quote: "can you have more than 1? I like your craft idea; but I would also like to do a couple more...LOL... i think you may have created a monster!!!" You can have as many blogs as you can keep up with. But with everything start slow and sure or "monster" Lynda might crash. Lol I'll depart with this ... after you land this job with the recruiter AND are settled in with the job AND after you are stable with your home AND after you redo your website let's get you started blogging. Again, congratulations. __________ Kenneth R Sword Jr Co-CEO - Bizzy Blogz http://www.bizzyblogz.com Sponsor of the ABA Basketball 'Streetball' group "Nothing But Net Entertainment" http://www.bizzyblogz.com/NBNE/ New! Tomatoes? I have my luck with the way I start them. Starting from the seed using any starter pods will work. they come with the plastic lid to keep things warm and moist. Once you have the starter plant (a few weeks) prepping the ground is vital. Dig your hole deep enough so the starter will sit low enough to cover the bottom of the vine about 1". Before placing vine in the hole water the hole with a mixture of Miracle-Grow and water. Just follow the package direction for ratio. Allow to seep into dirt before placing vine in hole. Place vine in the hole (do not remove starter dirt) and cover with potters soil. Rewater. Water at night after the sun goes down for the least water loss due to evaporation. Use Miracle-Grow per directions and as othen as possible. Also, being in Texas I found if you place a shade barrier to the west of the plants they have less tendency to burn from the latter afternoon and evening sun. Barrier can be your house or a few stakes posted to stand 3 to 4 feet above ground and tack a 3 to 4 feet wide black plastic to the stakes. The same cheap plastic you can use for a sand fence that keeps sand from blowing all over the roads from high dunes or any burlap style roll will do, too. __________ Kenneth R Sword Jr Co-CEO - Bizzy Blogz http://www.bizzyblogz.com Sponsor of the ABA Basketball 'Streetball' group "Nothing But Net Entertainment" http://www.bizzyblogz.com/NBNE/ New! Hi All Lynda - Many congratulations on your job - you must feel like a million dollars - I am very happy for you. When you are settled, if you want to do more with your crafting ideas - keep in touch. Kenneth,Norman, Linda, Peter - does my idea of running a "how to paint ......" series count as an ebook or a blog? It is the type of internet project that interests me most, because it is relevant to my angel business and, equally to the point, it is within my area of expertise. I can only see it promoting my main business and not a way of earning money directly and I cannot see how it would fit into any scheme where anyone other then us would earn any money .... Maybe I have posted this on the wrong forum, but as I have found you all together on this one, your knowledge is far greater than mine, so.... Saludos Jennifer I'm afraid
