How to Make a Million in 24 Hours
5/27/2006 3:02:54 PM
Win a lottery! Or rob a bank (dangerous)... Do you have a better idea? It seems that a lot of people actually do believe there's a real way to get rich quick. Sadly, it's the headlines like the one above that get the most attention everywhere you look. Scammers, phishers and so-called "gurus" make a fortune sucking money out of the pockets of people who believe there is a secret out there to getting rich in a hurry. The fact is that there's much more to life than material wealth, many honest ways to WORK your way to higher income, and more importantly, many more fulfilling enterprises in life other than chasing after wealth. Money can't buy happiness, but happiness can be found by those who choose to face each day relishing the challenges life brings and working towards making a positive contribution to their fellow human beings. God bless, Dave

Hi, Dave, You are a man after my own heart. I have been happy all my life but wealth or poverty have had no effect upon the degree of happiness - only the apparent level of comfort in which I have enjoyed it. Wealth is not a target - wealth is a by product. Like many by products, it isn't really necessary.

Hi Dave; ========== Win a lottery! Or rob a bank (dangerous)... ========== With video surveillance today, robbing is as dumb as it is dangerous. And, according to statistics, almost all lottery winners are in worse shape 2 years later than ever before. They've never had money and, thus, don't know how to manage it. What we can't manage, manages us. (ie, temper, money, attitude, etc) I read, somewhere, that 96% of people today live with financial stress and over 80% have no savings. While money can't buy happiness, it's a lot easier to be happy when we can pay our bills and eat. Problem is, people don't know how to "make" money any better than they know what to do with it when they have it. For example, here's 3 ways to make a million; - Sell 40,000 items at $25 each - Sell 20,000 items at $50 each - Sell 10,000 items at $100 each With a pencil and paper, a person could actually plan out how to achieve that over a number of months or years. But most people won't. Most people put more planning into making dinner than they do into their finances or their future. Hence... the get rich quick folks clean up because people don't know how to plan their work and work their plan. : ) Linda

Hi Dave, Notwithstanding the comments of the others before me who make very valid points... The reason so many scammers and thieves use the internet to run their scummy tricks is because it is so darn easy. It's impersonal. As I've said in one of my articles - IT's THE PERFECT CRIME! No guns, no balaclavas and the chances of getting caught are minimal. Those who are preyed upon are the "accomplices" to the crime for being such dead-heads. That is why there are so many Mr Oomagooloo's from the little known African country of Gombula whose ruler HRH Mr Bumbola was assassinated in a military coup. His US$73.3million FORTUNE is lying intestate and if YOU (my chosen assistant - LUCKY YOU!) will just give me your bank account and password then I, Mr Oomagooloo, Accountant AND Lawyer (did I mention CON-ARTIST?) will deposit the full amount into your name on the proviso that you can keep 25% and you then transfer the other 75% to me. All this is to be done in STRICT CONFIDENCE, naturally! Ha! Ha! Ha! If you are such a lemon to believe this crap then you certainly would want to keep it under wraps lest you announce to the entire world what a dill you have been. The reason these scams are around is because they continue to "pull" the crowds. Send out 1000 emails, 10 fools will respond and one real goose will lose his or her life savings. It never ceases to amaze me how gullible some people are in their quest for the Holy Grail of greed. A con is a con is a con is a con... Gary
