LOL, I can think of a few others with that same common letter. I won't list them here in respect of others' sensibilities--I'm afraid I've shocked you once already today. Cheri

Dear Gary, thanks for the info. They ARE my old friends and we had a brief chat on the phone last night, which was great. Trying to contact them now by e-mail, but I am not sure if I wrote the address down correctly -although I have had no 'undelivered messages' back. I didn't recognise their voices so I wasn't too sure, but they told me they still had three of my paintings on their walls (obviously people with impeccable taste - or owners of white sticks and labradors). Trying to get them onto Skype so we can chat in person - and Yes, I am an advocate of the system, but I think Yahoo and also MSN Messenger now have a similar mehtod. although I have never used them. I thought you could just block people anyway? Pain though, people just not realising the aggravation levels they can cause. final one - and then I stop - I was once told that I could 'talk under wet cement with a mouthful of marbles' - I even wrote that one down! So rather than be accused again, I will cease, desist and otherwise refrain from further hijacking of your original site message! Cheers and thanks again for the help in tracking down Peter & Dee. Norm, Oh come on, we've just started to have fun with this. ============================================ I was once told that I could 'talk under wet cement with a mouthful of marbles' ============================================ I love it! Next time I need to describe my mother... And while doing that talking, I'll bet you could 'charm the hind leg off a jackass.' Cheri

Hi Norm, I'm glad to be a conduit of info for you. ============ " they told me they still had three of my paintings on their walls (obviously people with impeccable taste - or owners of white sticks and labradors)." ============ That was very funny! ============ "'talk under wet cement with a mouthful of marbles'" ============ Yep. That's an Aussieism, for sure. ============ "Pain though, people just not realising the aggravation levels they can cause." ============ Amen! This morning I received an email from an Adlander seeking answers to a number of questions. Maybe some readers got this one too - if you are a "friend" of this person, that is. Basically, this person was bemoaning the fact that nobody (or very few) people from Adland were visiting his/her sites. He/she listed about four of them. I guess he/she is on the track to figuring out why. One other thing he/she might like to consider is that so many other marketing desperadoes at Adland are too busy trying to get HIM/HER to visit THEIR sites. Sometimes I just think this place is like a merry-go-round forever spinning past the assembled crowd - the riders (marketers) are all yelling: "Look at me! Look at me!" And sometimes one of the riders gets dizzy and vomits a bellyfull of coke and fairy floss over a large section of the crowd. We get puked on and they wonder why we get annoyed. (Linda calls them "drive-by shooters." - LOL!) Moral to the story - don't stand so close to the merry-go-round. Anyway, Norm, "hijack" all you want. You make lots of good comments and I can always swing the conversation back to my original theme. Gary
