Re: Cheri, Winston, Deborah, Martha, Kathy... html/website unit

Well Linda, I have to say. I've been working my butt off with using just HTML and am getting quite use to it now. I don't think I'll ever use another WISYWIG type editor...no...I'm sure I won't! LOL After playing around with the pages last night and tonight I decided that the thumbnail version was best way to go, and for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Which brings the next question. Is it better to use a pop-up window or blank target page to display the larger version of the picture or simply use the same page template? Thoughts???? And that leads to another question! LOL Does it matter where your HTML files are stored? For example, this particular article I'm working on will have a number of pages because of the number of graphics involved. Should they be in the main directory or is it more advisable to create a folder for them???

Hi Winston; ===== I don't think I'll ever use another WISYWIG type editor...no...I'm sure I won't! LOL ===== The nice part is that the cleaner code makes the pages more appealing to search bots, too. ===== Which brings the next question. Is it better to use a pop-up window or blank target page to display the larger version of the picture or simply use the same page template? Thoughts???? ===== I usually just use target blank or target new so they can see the pic quickly without the rest of the graphics having to load. If a client prefers the template, then I'll go that route, but i like the clean look of a blank window. ===== And that leads to another question! LOL Does it matter where your HTML files are stored? For example, this particular article I'm working on will have a number of pages because of the number of graphics involved. Should they be in the main directory or is it more advisable to create a folder for them??? ===== I tend to be a neat freak with files, so I create an additional folder. If an article is small, with maybe one extra photo, then I don't bother with the extra folder, though. : ) Linda P.S. You have no idea how good this makes me feel! lol. One frontpage user converted. Yeehaw!! The SEs will love you for it.
