Hey Shannon, Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! You are right! The answers is YOU! I find that until I "sell" myself to my prospect, they don't hear anything I have to say and they have no desire to want to work with me or learn from me. Forming a relationship with your prospect or customer FIRST enables them to trust you and THEN they really hear what you have to say and want to know more about what you do because they like YOU! I have had people that I have not talked to in a year to contact me recently because the word is really getting out about my business. They hear it mentioned somewhere else, and because I have kept in touch with cards or email or phone calls, they remember ME - and they call ME - and they join with ME - all because they got to know ME first. That is Passionate Marketing as I learned from Julie at http://www.PassionateProsperity.com Shannon, your prize... I have a deck of Affirmations cards from Louise Hay that I would like to send you. Please send me a private message with your address and I will get them in the mail to you. Congratulations for being YOU!

Hey Johnny, You make some good points and I appreciate your feedback. When you say 80% of your sales comes from ads through email, is that unsolicited email to leads you purchase - or to people you already know? For me, there is also a right and wrong way to post an ad even in my own forum. The wrong way is to just blast a whole bunch of facts and details and websites and hype. Think anyone reads that? For me, the right way is to offer a personal testimonial or a bit of valuable information that will truly help the reader and then lead into a product or service that will help them to achieve the results they seek. And of course you can't - and shouldn't - form a warm fuzzy relationship with everyone. Forming a relationship can remain very professional and you never have to even speak. But I believe you do have to show people that you have integrity and that they can trust you. THEN they will want to hear about what you have to offer. I appreciate your contribution to this discussion! It's all good!

Good morning Linda, I need help in that area, I always like to do research on how to better myself. To me what I'm selling first is how I can help the person looking to better themselves. So, if it's more income they are looking for I can help them with a business, if they have an illness my products could help them feel better.Information is worth a million.(I will print that and put it by my computer)! Have a great day! Donna

Hi fellow ADL'ers, For me, the best way to market is to become friends first. Just like you should become friends before you start any relationship. I also believe that taking beginners under your wing, teaching and helping them to grow and make an income on the net, is another way. Providing you are not doing this for self, but truly to help. Just my 2 cents worth. Thank you Linda for the invitation.

Hi Donna, You certainly have the right idea. I always like to keep in mind that most people do not care how great your product or service is UNLESS you can show them how it will benefit them. That's all they are interested in. What's in it for me? And that is completely fair. That is what I want to know too when I am considering a new product or service...or business. I want to know how it's going to help ME. So, if we keep that in mind let that be the focus of what we offer, we're on the right track... which it sounds like you are! I do still offer the free 15 minute Mentoring From Spirit session if you are interested at http://www.MentoringFromSpirit.com Thanks for your contribution here!
