Re: ARTICLE: The 6 Priorities

My husband writes lists all the time. We have pieces of paper everywhere. I need to start writing more lists but I can't wait and do it at one time. I need to write it down as I think about it and then organize it later. In the summer when operating the nursery I will have a list but the minute I step out the door I see something different that really needs done right away or even worse I see something that needs done that I really enjoy doing. Guess what gets done first? The best thing to happen that interupts my list is customers coming to buy lots of plants. Martha

Hi I don't have a warm market.I don't have any family other than my four children & my husband being an only child and parents both gone as are mine all we have are each other. We don't get out much because too busy raising kids & building home business so no real close friends. I would never think about COLD calling-I sold Kirby's when I was 17 and although I made sells it felt horrible talking to people I knew nothing about & trying to sell them on my product. I post ads & also have where they are ready to be copied & pasted but I don't know the route of auto anything-but would appreciate any tips. So far in a month I have 4 affiliates. I will keep building the only way I know how-Which is long nights on the computer. Thanks for reading. Angela Vessels http://workfree.cjb.net

Thankkyou Linda for sharing the 6 Priorities. I too find myself trying to store them all in my head. Sometimes I forget what I was working on. I will try harder to put them on paper & see if I can focus more freely. My way isn't working at all. I'll try yours & we'll see how it goes. Thank you for sharing.. I noticed to list of what order they should be in that was very interesting also ( I hope it's o.k. I saved it). That list will come in handy.

Linda, As usual Sensei, great topic. Great advice as well. My only problem with this is that both in my own venture and at work, things arise mid-way through and throw my priorities into a different sequence.

Hi Heather; ========================================== My only problem with this is that both in my own venture and at work, things arise mid-way through and throw my priorities into a different sequence. ========================================== I can relate. Picture this. I'm half way through number three on the list and feeling like I'm getting somewhere. The phone rings. A familiar voice says "Linda, we're going to be on NBC tomorrow night and I need a new page up." .... my list changes I'm working on the new #1 item on the list and the phone rings. Linda, I'm waiting for an important contract by email and my email is timing out... why is it doing that? .... my list changes again I can relate. Some days I have to rewrite my list DURING the day, but I keep one beside me all the time to make an attempt at staying on track. I find that having a list beside me lets me look at incoming stuff and decide where it REALLY belongs on that list. Customer service is always at the top of the list. Lack of planning on someone else's part isn't always at the top. Sometimes that's a hard call.. but the list helps. : ) Linda
