Dave, Thank you for posting this. I will be the first to admitt that I am a lousy speller and as you say, I may even committ some gramatical errors. I have noticed as of late that there seems to be a missuse of you, your, and your's. Has there been a change in the correct usage of these? I do believe that we need Spell Check on Adland. If you have any influence at all would you please request that it be placed there.

Arild, Speaking for myself, I always give more latitude to those who are writing in a language that is not their native tongue. English is one of the most difficult languages, due in part to the sometimes arbitrary spelling and verb conjugation rules and in part to the fact that we have borrowed so many words from so many different languages. Even among English-speaking countries, we can't all agree on proper spelling, as examples above illustrate. When and only when I have learned to speak and write perfect Norwegian, I will judge you for your English. Don't hold your breath, lol. (In case that colloquialism doesn't translate well, it means that won't happen any time soon--like never.) Cheri

Excellent point Cheri! Arild's command of English is infinitely greater than my knowledge of Norwegian. However, I am fluent in the Australian, New Zealand, British, Canadian and American languages. Best Wishes Gary Simpson

Hi Arild, When I can read and write in Norwegian as well as you read and write in English, I will complain! :-) Keep on doing what you're doing, my friend. Perhaps when I have more time I can learn from you. God bless, Dave
