What are you most grateful for today?
2/23/2006 1:46:18 PM
Hi everyone, As I was driving home from Curves today after stopping by the post office and then depositing my checks in the bank, it started to SNOW really hard... and I realized what I am most grateful for today is... that I don't have to get up every morning and go to a 9-5 job like I did for 20 years, especially when the weather is nasty or I just don't feel like getting up! I am VERY grateful that I am generating multiple income streams, which means mutliple checks in the mail almost daily. Yes, I am very grateful to be working from the comfort of my home - in my pajamas if I like. What are YOU most grateful for today?

Hi Linda, Not just today, but every day I am grateful for all the blessings God sends me and my family. :-) Go well,

YOU. When I find myself faltering or doubting, I ask myself what Linda would do.

LOL! We're on the same wave length. As I read the title What am I grateful for today, I thought, being that it is cold, grey, and somber, I'm so glad that I don't have to get up at 5:00 AM and drive to an 8 hour job and come back home. It was the monotony. Don't get me wrong. I work very hard. Harder than when I was in the work force. But It's my business, I am doing very well, I call the shots. If I have an appointment I must keep, I don't have a supervisor to answer to. And my office is by my beautiful window where I can see the beautiful country scenery in all types of weather. The best perk I have is that my Misty always sleeps under my desk sometimes keeping my feet warm and my Hazel always is the closet. They are my wonderful companions. (((Hugs!)))

Well, Linda, I am grateful that the old coot woke up this morning, that my nurse had let herself in and made breakfast for us both, that I was able to feed myself, that my headache is down to merely ubearable and that none of my family is here to see me in this state. There have been some offers of friendship from our great community, some interesting posts to forums and I have been able to have my keyboard on my lap and make some contributions (isn't cordless wonderful - something else I am grateful for!). Above all, I am grateful that I can still enjoy my life and see a day, not too distant, when remission will set in and I will be almost normal. It's the small things, isn't it? Regards Arthur
