Stormpay Is Flexing it's muscles.
2/1/2006 5:44:06 PM
Hello everyone. How many of you have received notification from 12dailypro, or any of the other programs with Stormpay as one of the payment processors, or even checked the Stormpay site itself? If not, you may want to see what Stormpay has told any program that uses Stormpay for payment processing. --------------------------------------------- Policy Update 31-Jan-2006 14:40 Due to high volumes of fraudulent transactions made to merchants with commission based business models, StormPay can no longer process payments for those type of merchants who choose to accept more than one payment processing solution. Using more than one payment processor is exactly the situation that “fraud” seeks out. This enables the fraudulent user to set up a fake profile with either of the processors, make a purchase or join the program, and then withdraw their earnings to the other processor where the real identity is used. This sort of activity makes it nearly impossible for either processor, or law enforcement to properly handle the fraud because the “trail” comes to an end. This is the cause for a great many chargebacks to those merchants which can be avoided. As of 1/30/2006 StormPay must require Merchants with a commissioned based business model who choose to accept StormPay, to only accept StormPay. StormPay certainly does not wish to dictate how our merchants run their business, all merchants are free to choose any processing solution that best suits their needs. We understand you have choices and certainly hope that choice is the online leader – StormPay. However, if another payment solution is used, please immediately remove StormPay from the associated website as a funding option and continue to use the StormPay account funds to finish payments to those members who paid using their StormPay account. At StormPay we truly care about our merchants’ and the overall success of their business and sales and for that reason we have implemented these very necessary changes. Thank you in advance for your understanding in this very crucial matter. StormPay Inc. --------------------------------------------- So, if you are in any programs that are effected by this,& I know that 12 DailyPro has implemented this action, Studio Traffic is offline & many other paid auto-surfs, traffic sites, HYIPs are not having a good day. It looks like Stormpay is firm on this, i know of only one paid auto-Surf that has PayPal & thats DadnDaves, but they are closed now to new members. So, if your not with Stormpay, here is the link. Yes, Anthony I have seen this. They have become very powerful all the sudden. Ouch!! I think they are doing it to really stop all the fraud that people are doing online and helping people to not loose money or get cheated. It sure is a sudden very firm action, but I see more of the sites staying with Stormpay and dropping egold and the others. This is something!! Thanks for the Forum. Your Jewel,

Hi Lisa, Yes, you cannot blame them really, specially as some of these HYIP's offer the choice of paying with StormPay & collecting with E-Gold. Some unscrupulous people are trying to get their payments both ways. These new terms may be the rise of the end of the more 'dodgy' HYIP programs. Which incidentialy, I saw a site yesterday which blantantly offers HYIP programs for anyone to buy, so that they can (in their words) "Earn big money by running your own HYIP". These programs can be bought for $75.00 So that means that absolutely anyone with $75 & no experience of investing money can set up a HYIP & cream the deposits, straight into their bank accounts. If nothing else, Stormpay's announcement will put an end to that, as these programs are being sold as "StormPay & E-gold payment processors in place" Your Security Friend in Las Vegas.

HI Anthony, Yes, I have heard about this and I think StormPay are wrong. I can understand them saying something about e-gold and IntGold, but where do they get off saying anything about PayPal, EMO, etc. They are using coercion against businesses to try to make them use only their service, which is wrong. So, now anyone that decides to bow down to their demands forces their members to have to deal with paying the charges that SP implements. I understand what they are saying about fraud, but I don't think they are being fair at all. I think it is just a ploy by SP to force more people to use their service so they can make that much more money off people. This is just my opinion...I wonder what others think about this? Marilyn

HI Anthony, I just came back in because I read what you said to Lisa response. I agree with you about people using different payout options...that should definitely be stopped. If you pay with PayPal, your money should be sent to there as well. I don't argue that point at all! I still disagree with them trying to force everyone to use their payment option though...in my book that is wrong! Marilyn
