Despite its exquisiteness, the below gem of a painting is not very known among other works of Bouguereau to appear in those years. On the other hand, it bears strong resemblance with Rest in Harvest of 1885 (here in page 6).

By comparison, this other charming master work is pretty well known by all sorts of people, both the common and the learned ones, and one of Bouguereau's best favorite paintings of all times.
