It is I who thank you, Joyce. I will now try and post a few more works of Bouguereau painted during this magical early stage in his production. For example, this charming masterpiece that I have been missing so far.

Painted nearly ten years later - yet still in the 1860-69 decade -, these other two charming paintings signal as well the course Bouguereau's future works would follow.

This series is so serene and beautiful.
He either had a very pleasant family life or longed to have one and idealized what it would be like.
