You Knew it was Coming: “Experts” Say Pedophilia is a Sexual Orientation – Hard-wired at Birth Posted on December 28, 2013 by Tim Brown First, let me say that I don’t want to hear anything from the homosexuals, their supporters, supporters of polygamy or any other perversion of God ordained sexuality. We told you this was coming and it has arrived. Researchers with Canada’s Centre for Addiction and Mental Health have concluded, after a decade of research, that pedophilia is a deep-rooted, unchangeable predisposition. The Toronto Star reports: Pedophilia has been widely viewed as a psychological disorder triggered by early childhood trauma. Now, many experts see it as a biologically rooted condition that does not change — like a sexual orientation — thanks largely to a decade of research by Dr. James Cantor at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Cantor’s team has found that pedophiles share a number of physicalcharacteristics, including differences in brain wiring. It’s now thought that about 1 to 5 percent of men are pedophiles, meaning they are primarily attracted to children. These findings have been widely accepted among scientists, but have had little impact on social attitudes or law. However, we are left with the alarming question: if some men are born pedophiles, what should society do with them? Well, what do you suppose of those who have kept their pedophilia under control to some extent, at least keeping it only in their thoughts? They are doing the same thing the homosexuals are doing: calling for societal acceptance, and a cry for special rights will soon be accompanying this demand. Let me say that I realize all of us face different temptations. Some are weaker in areas that others are not. For those that fight against their temptations, whether homosexuality, pedophilia, fornication, pornography, adultery or a myriad of other sins, let me say “thank you.” Thank you for not justifying your lusts and thank you for seeking to keep them under control. The Bible commands us to repent of these lusts, as well as any action based on them, and Jesus Christ is a Savior of sinners from sin. However, to accept that this is biological in nature is to miss the aspect of sin. After all, even these that are claiming this is from birth cannot prove it. As my friend Shea Bernard wrote, concerning homosexuality, “Dr. Francis S. Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, along with his team of over 150 of the top geneticists in the world, who sequenced and decoded the human genome, three years ahead of schedule, have emphatically said, ad nauseam, that there is NO gay gene.” To that I would add that there was no discovery of a “pedophilia” gene either. It may come as a surprise, but there are no “thieve” genes, “murderer” genes, or “liar” genes. This is a spiritual issue and deals with the mind. However, Cantor wants us to believe it is biological. Cantor says of pedophilia: ”It’s either purely biological or a mix of biological and experiential.” Cantor and his former colleague, Michael Seto, are careful to differentiate between pedophiles and sex offenders. The first, obviously has to do with the mental part and the second is the criminal action part. So, how are they seeking to help those in the first category? A website, of course. Enter Virtuous Pedophiles. It’s a website for pedophiles who have never molested children, but do have an attraction for them. One individual that was pointed to in the article in the Star was a man by the name of Ethan Edwards, who at the age of 50 found he could no longer suppress his desires and simply look at young girls in a protective manner. Edwards is the co-founder of Virtuous Pedophiles. “I realized that young girls certainly took my breath away, more than grown-ups are usually charmed by kids,” Edwards said. Edwards claims that his site desires to prevent child abuse, by reducing the stigma against non-offending pedophiles. “We do not choose to be attracted to children, and we cannot make that attraction go away. But we can resist the temptation to abuse children sexually, and many of us present no danger to children whatsoever. Yet we are despised for having a sexual attraction that we did not choose, cannot change, and successfully resist.” While I’m happy to hear that Edwards and others acknowledge their problem, see it as a problem and seek to keep it from being a problem for young children, it is those like Cantor and Seto that seek to justify the mental state and actions by claiming people are just “born this way” that concern me even more. This is the same argument being used by the militant homosexuals to advance their agenda in this country. What do you think? 	5 WAYS LIBERALISM DESTROYED DETROIT AND WILL DESTROY AMERICA Published: Saturday, 28 December 2013 14:09 Detroit was once one of the world's great cities. It was the 4th largest metropolis in America, jobs were plentiful because of the auto industry, and Motown even kept it on the cutting edge musically. Unfortunately, from 1962 until the present day, the mayor of Detroit has been a Democrat. The result? Detroit's population has dropped from 1.8 million to just over 700,000, the unemployment rate is over 50% if you count the people who've given up on finding jobs, property values have dropped so much you can buy homes in the crime-ridden city for $500, and Detroit has gone bankrupt. How did Democrats kill one of the most prosperous cities in America? With the same sort of unfettered liberalism that Democrats like Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi want to foist on the rest of the nation. 1) Unions crippled the auto industry: The Big 3 automakers could afford unions when they practically had a monopoly on auto production in the United States. However, once they started facing real competition from overseas, the unions made them less and less competitive. The unions forced the companies to pay out more than market value for their workers, put stifling work rules in place that made flexibility and innovation difficult, and created generous pension plans that are proving to be unsustainable. This wouldn't have been possible without a symbiotic relationship between the unions and the Democrats in government who tied the hands of the Big 3 automakers and simply wouldn't allow them to get rid of the unions that were slowly strangling them to death. Eventually because of the unions, the Big 3 automakers had to deal with significantly larger costs per car than their overseas competitors and they took it out of the only place they could: the cars. As the quality of their products dropped, their competitors took an ever larger share of their market, and there were fewer jobs to go around. If you want to know why the "Motor City" is up on cinder blocks in Michigan's front yard, this is where it started. 2) White citizens were demonized until they left: Detroit was a heavily segregated city and in 1967, there were black riots. After that, white flight to the suburbs began. This was dramatically exacerbated when Coleman Young became Detroit's first black mayor in 1972. Young was cut from the same cloth as men like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, but unlike the two of them, he actually had power. Young systematically drove white government employees out of their jobs so they could be replaced by blacks, was hostile to the white suburbs, and was generally perceived as anti-white. Naturally, a lot of white people just left, which reduced the population and significantly cut into the tax base. Today, Detroit is a 7.9% white city, and if he were alive and kicking, that would probably suit Coleman Young just fine. 3) Out-of-control crime helped drive much of the black middle class out of the city: Ever heard of "Devil's Night?" It's the night before Halloween and in Detroit, fires are set all over the city. Combine the sort of criminal mentality that produces an unofficial "holiday" like that with a sky high unemployment rate and Draconian laws designed to make it difficult for law abiding citizens to arm themselves, and it's not a surprise that crime is a problem in Detroit. However, the issue goes much deeper than that. In case you haven't noticed, in a conflict between a cop and a criminal, the hearts of liberals almost always seem to bleed for the thug. Combine that with the liberal tendency, when money gets tight, to cut essential programs instead of their perks and the goodies they hand out to their supporters, and you end up with a police department that is both dramatically underfunded and completely incompetent. How bad has it gotten? "The size of the police force in Detroit has been cut by about 40 percent over the past decade," "it takes (the police) an average of 58 minutes to respond" to a call and the "police solve less than 10 percent of the crimes that are committed in Detroit." 4) Reckless government spending bankrupted the city: Detroit's tax base has been plunging like an anvil dropped into the Marianas Trench and so, in true liberal fashion, liberals have raised taxes to make up for it instead of cutting spending. "The city's per-capita tax burden is the highest in Michigan. Detroit has the country's highest property taxes on homes, the top commercial property tax and the second-highest industrial property tax." Unfortunately for Detroit, you can't get blood from a stone. As jobs and wealth fled the city, there was simply less cash available for big government programs, pensions, and the incredibly generous, but almost completely unfunded union health care program. It's fantastic that the city paid "80 percent to 100 percent of retirees' medical costs," but 99.6% of those costs were unfunded. As Obamacare supporters should have learned by now, it's a lot easier for politicians to make big promises about what they’re going to give you than it is to back them up in the real world. 5) The government is completely incompetent: Ever notice that the bigger government seems to get, the less it does anything well? Citizens of Detroit could tell you all about that. The school system is horrible, which explains why a staggering 47% of the population is illiterate. In addition, 40% of the street lights don't work, only about 1/3 of the ambulances are running, and 2/3 of the parks have been closed since 2008. Just to give you an idea of its priorities, an independent report in 2012 suggested the city fire 80% of the Water and Sewage Department including a horseshoer" that it has on staff even though it has NO HORSES.. How did the union respond to that report? "They don’t have enough people as it is right now. They are just dreaming to think they can operate that plant with less." 	Senate Report: U.S. Blows $30 Bil on Wasteful Projects in 2013 December 20, 2013 Wasteful spending by the bloated U.S. government is at an all-time high and a new congressional report outlines the senseless projects—including a global warming cartoon series—that the Obama administration blew nearly $30 billion on in 2013. Published by a U.S. Senator who sits on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the report (“Wastebook 2013”) provides 100 shameful examples of how the government squanders our tax dollars. This includes an astounding $7 billion to destroy perfectly good military equipment and vehicles in the Middle East to avoid bringing it back, $379 million to promote Obamacare and $65 million in Hurricane Sandy “emergency” funds on television ads. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) spent $3 million on a ridiculous research mission that will study how Congress works and an additional $390,000 on a cartoon series that teaches children about global warming. A press release announcing the wastebook sarcastically says that NASA won’t be exploring an alien planet or distant galaxy, but rather one of the greatest mysteries in the universe—how Congress works. It also pokes fun at the cartoon, saying that since NASA is no longer conducting space flights, the agency has plenty of time and money to fund the series. In yet another egregious example of waste, the government doled out $3.5 million to install solar panels that are largely unused at an airport in New Hampshire. Immediately after the panels were installed, air traffic controllers determined that the glare blinded them as well as pilots. This made it difficult to oversee the runways so a chunk of the panels sit covered with a tarp in the airport’s parking garage. Here are a few more good ones mentioned in the report; a federal agency called the National Endowment of the Humanities (NEH) dedicated nearly $1 million to explore romance in novels, films, songs and comics and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) spent $325,525 to research if marriage is more satisfying for wives who calm down faster after arguments with their husband. Here is our list of the top 10 examples of wasteful government spending this year, serving as a reminder that there is no shortage of excessive spending in Washington. 10. Outhouse in Alaska: $98,670. The Interior Department spent nearly $100,000 to install an outhouse on an Alaskan trail, which includes a single toilet with no internal plumbing. 9. A bus stop with heated pavement for the Washington area: $1 million. A lavish bus stop with heated pavement was built in Arlington, VA, but it has failed to keep commuters warm or dry. 8. Grant for a pole dancing performance: $10,000. Utility poles, that is. The National Endowment for the Arts provided a grant to PowerUP for Austin Energy employees to perform an artsy dance with 20 utility poles, accompanied by a live orchestra. 7. Pizza — from a printer: $124,995. NASA gave a six-figure grant to a company that aspires to make pizza from a 3-D printer. 6. Study to find out if couples are happier when the woman calms down after argument:$335,525. “[M]arriages that were the happiest were the ones in which the wives were able to calm down quickly during marital conflict,” found a study of 81 couples funded by the National Institutes of Health. 5. Booze and crystal for the State Department: $5.4 million. The State Department went on a bender the week before the government shutdown, purchasing $5 million of “exquisite”crystal glassware to presumably drink the $400,000 in booze they purchased in 2013. 4. Monitoring depression on Twitter: $82,000. The National Institutes of Health is funding a study “to use Twitter for surveillance on depressed people,” according to the Free Beacon. 3. Seven-figure stack of rocks at the London Embassy: $1 million. The American Embassy in London will be receiving a granite sculpture from an artist “whose work resembles stacked piles of paving stones,” according to the Daily Mail. 2. Artwork for Veterans Affairs offices: $562,000. The Department of Veterans Affairs went on a spending spree during “use it or lose it” season, purchasing over half a million in artwork and millions in furniture in a single week. 1. Government employee trip to luxury hotel in the Caribbean: priceless. Federal employees took a taxpayer-funded trip to the Buccaneer Hotel in St. Croix—the same hotel made famous on TV’s “The Bachelor.” The bill was divided among a number of agencies, making a final tally difficult to come by. Honorable Mention A Super Bowl champion Obamacare campaign: $130,000. The Baltimore Ravens were paid$130,000 in taxpayer money to sponsor the Affordable Care Act. An overwhelming, bipartisan majority of Americans thinks that Congress can find more ways to cut government spending, and there are numerous programs of questionable value that Congress should eliminate. America did not end up $17 trillion in debt overnight. Congressional refusal to cut spending and prioritize taxpayer money more appropriately year after year got the nation to this point. Congress will have another opportunity before January 15, when considering the 2014 spending bill, to do better. Fiscal restraint is long overdue. Charlie Rangel: ObamaCare is ‘the most exciting thing’ to happen since ‘the republic began’

If you’re a liberal, the Constitution is your Kryptonite. It protects everything you despise and the limitations it imposes on the federal government are a serious thorn in the side of your impossible, unsustainable, socialist utopia. You think its guarantees are grossly outdated, existing only to hamper your ability to enlighten a nation full of gun-worshipping dullards. To be blunt, the republic it establishes represents everything you seek to undo.

Maybe that’s why ethically-challenged Democrat Rep. Charlie Rangel thinks “Health care is the most exciting thing that’s happened for the United States of America since the republic began.”

Note that the most exciting thing for the republic was not the moon landing. It wasn’t the defeat of Adolph Hitler, and it wasn’t Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. For the far left, ObamaCare is the be-all and end-all because it represents the first glorious step toward their Marxist fever dream.

Since ObamaCare tramples the concepts of individual liberty and states’ rights, it’s a major win for their side. It’s a bit like saying a stake through the heart is the “most exciting thing” to happen to Dracula.

Sure, the ACA is poorly conceived, deeply unpopular, and falling apart as we speak, but when you’ve come this close to attaining your ultimate weapon, it’s hard to contain your glee. We’ll see if they’re still so excited in November.

Crying because she is now on the receiving end of the jokes. I do not feel sorry for her at all.

Bozell Column: Sarah Silverman's Insult Act Gets Old

Sarah Silverman celebrated Christmas in her usual mode: mocking Christians, and religion in general. On Twitter, she wrote “Happy Birthday, Jesus! I'm sorry [you] were murdered by people afraid of new ideas!”

Her last HBO special in 2002 was even mockingly titled “Jesus Is Magic.” Her new special was called “We Are Miracles.” Once again in the new show, she made fun of the death of Jesus, as a Jew: “You’re welcome. If we hadn’t killed him, he wouldn’t even be famous.”

Silverman then mentioned Scientology as crazy, but added “its no more bats--t crazy than every single religion. It’s just new. Christianity is super-old, but its f---ing crazy.” Silverman turned to mocking Catholics and confession. She claimed that Hitler could kill six million Jews, then go to confession, and have a priest say, “no problem, say ten Heil Marys, and Hitler goes to Heaven!”

She also praised the late Mother Teresa for not being obsessed with her body image, then went for the humor by calling her “stick thin,” and adding “f—ing *****.”

Silverman and Bill Maher are religion-trashing peas in a pod for HBO. This woman lives for gags like this: “Don’t forget, God can see you masturbating. But don’t stop. He’s almost there.”

Silverman hates how separation of church and state – which leftists always think is actually text in the Constitution – is a joke in America, since “In God We Trust” is on the money, and witnesses in court swear to tell the truth on the Bible and say “so help me God.” She sputtered, “If I tell the truth, it's because I tell the truth, not because I put my hand on a book and made a wish. It's f---ing crazy!”

The “We Are Miracles” title referred to the “science-based” miracle that “We were all once a microscopic speck,” leading to a joke that she began in her father’s testicles and and then flopping spectacularly in an incest joke. At least this atheist who just hosted a New York telethon for free abortions in Texas didn’t attempt to reconcile her “unborn speck miracle” talk with her fist-pumping feminism. She might have pulled a mental muscle.

Silverman also unloaded a typically scabrous joke about “praying” for Republican sperm that dies inside the rear ends of prostitutes. “Surely there are Democrats that have butt sex with prostitutes and you’re 100 percent right there are, but Democrats aren’t trying to take my rights away.”

Silverman spares nothing in her attempts at humor. She made up a fake study saying September 11 widows are better at casual sex acts, and said she loved rape jokes because who would object? “I’d say rape victims, but they’re traditionally not complainers.”

Comedians like this are too busy making a living being “hilariously” insensitive to contemplate what it’s like to be on the other end of the ridicule.

At a recent roast for James Franco on Comedy Central, actor Jonah Hill unleashed on Silverman: “Sarah is a role model for every little girl out there. I mean, every little girl dreams of being a 58-year-old single stand-up comedian with no romantic prospects on the horizon. They all dream of it, but Sarah did it.” (She’s 43.)

Hill then added another insult: “People say it’s too late for Sarah to become successful in movies at her age. I again do not agree. It’s not impossible. I mean, it’s not like they’re asking you to bear children or anything like that.”

Silverman admitted in a TV interview it took her several days to get over the insults. “As soon as a woman gets to an age where she has opinions, and she’s vital and she’s strong, she’s systematically shamed into hiding under a rock. And this is by progressive pop-culture people!”

She added in self-defense: “These issues always come up when an actress hits a certain age and has a voice she can use. It’s not any kind of new notion. It’s just new for me, you know what I mean? I love all those guys [at the Franco roast]. Still, I think it was okay to admit that it cut me. We’re just made of feelings.”

As if Silverman’s targets don’t have feelings? Like rape victims and 9-11 widows don’t have a little more reason to be spared than Sarah Silverman does?

As Silverman has now announced her comedy role model for the future is half-plastic Joan Rivers, the size of her ridicule target is only going to enlarge. Why would a godless comedian refrain from insulting her for archaic religious concepts like charity, or mercy, or respect for your elders?
